  • Music toooooo loud!

  • The music, while good, was mixed TOO loud.

  • pointless and distracting music is pointless and distracting

  • @danburycollins I agree.

  • amillionmonkeys.blog.com aren't you curious?

  • would be cool to match if not for the unnecessary music

  • i always watch babylon 5. .. i always watching it.. except for the ending part when i have to went out of town. that is suck... now i am looking for dvd but i cant find it here in indonesia...

  • Aw how i missed my chance to watch Babylon 5 on t.v.

someone hit the refresh button please

  • why has this not been remade with only aesthetic and actors being changed

  • @mcsquizy why remake something thats already perfect. If they wanted to continue the babylon 5 story thats one thing, but remakes are kind of pointless.

  • and the word of the day boys and girls is........"FIRE!"

  • Shit music, fuck

    Why?

  • @Vasenkasigaderlosa Compared to Evan Chen's original "score" it's the offspring of John Williams and James Horner with Vangelis as the Godfather.

  • Gerabaldi has a Bruce Willis complex.

  • I watched B5 for quite some time now, and I can never seem to understand why when you open a hyperspace portal/window, or whatever, why is the color either blue, yellow, or orange? Is it always random or does is there something to it?

  • @starflame34 It's not random, when entering hyperspace the window is orange-ish with some yellow, but when exiting hyperspace it's blue, though this convention has at times been overlooked, presumably due to "advancements in hyperspace technology". Also the look of the portals changes in the movies, when better CGI became more widely available. Quantum space windows are all blue, and quantum space is apparently blue itself not the red hue that normal hyperspace is.

  • Funny, I don't remember Pres. Sheridan in command of the "Excalibur". And I don't think that I ever missed an episode of B-5. Can someone out there set me straight? =Stefan=

  • @chengloki Crusade I think ...

  • @darksau Thank you. I checked my DVD's. You're right. When you get my age, the first thing to go is..... uhhh, I forget. =Stefan= P.S. Hey, at least I remember by sign off!!! =S=

  • @chengloki This was the movie "Call to Arms"

  • John Sheridan was a badass! When's he making a comeback already!?

  • That's a hell of a fleet

  • I think BSG's story is as good as Babylon 5s. Even though they both take place primarily on ships in space, they can be difficult to compare. BSG, in general, as a darker tone the B5 (notice I said darker, not more realistic as many tend to interpret "darker"). Also, BSG as a more concentrated story (the humans fight for survival being a constant theme). However, B5 is able to explore more diverse ideas than BSG, and play to more variable characters and plot lines. Effects don't really matter. :)

  • good video, but too much music.

  • Just me or does the enemy ships at 1:58 look like those from spaceinvaders :P

  • the sad part of this video is this.

we see in world events that Fire is again comming to us.

    the Fire of War.

    it has started......

we do not yet know where or when it will end.

we do not have a Leader like John Sherriden to guide us.

May God Help us all in the coming months.

  • @wargammer2006 get a life saddo,compare your gran and the rent man !!!!!! nothing there to compare....get it,lol .....

  • the 90s was the best time for sci-fi we had TNG B5 DS9 and Voyager, SG1 was also very good i loved that show as well. but it started to go no where and the villeins started to look very familiar and predictable. the best comeback from the old days was battlestar galactica, even that it was short 4 seasons i think it had a very powerful story, every episode was a cliff hanger i enjoyed this show. Now we face the abyss of sci-fi where space is unreachable for new writers and no funding for it.!!!

  • I like B5, but sometimes the expository dialouge was so ham-handed and awkward it was hard to watch. "They only have one planet killer but don't want anyone to know, just like the United States only had two nukes when they went after Japan." It's 200 hundred years and the future, and he just happens to use that as a reference. It's too obvious that they're words written by a writer in the modern day, rather than spoken by an actual person in the future.

  • @JCIce007 Actually Garabaldy was into old stuff such as motorcycles, TV shows like daffy duck etc, so would make sense that he'd use a reference from something he was familiar with. It's consistent with his character.

  • Awesome sci-fi best story i ever seen in sci-fi, all was good, maybe some of special effects look poor but Babylon 5 is from 1994-1998 so who cares. Thjis balle here is awesome Volron+Mimabri+Shadow technology kick ass, whaite star was awseome but excalibur class ship is really destroyers, this scenes of battle is from pilot of babylon5:crusade i want watch it too...

ps:Narns is best warioris in galaxy, Centauri cry for lost great times, humans had two faces i love this...

  • to people who never watched any sci-fi show made in the 1900s: if you didnt notice, most of the best sci-fi shows are made in the 1900s? nowadays sci-fi series and movies only target the young generations by showing epic battles and no proper or good storyline.

take stargate universe for example: IT SUCKS MY BALLZ!

stargate SG-1 and atlantis rocks SHITZ better than universe

  • @lordguardian3 i totally agree with you

  • B5 was truly the best sci-fi story wise I have ever had the pleasure of watching.

In my opinion I have yet to see a sc-fi/drama story as wonderfully pined as B5.

I was truly saddened with it's ending I only wish it could have kept on going with new developments to the story line.

  • I still get upset when I watch the final eppisode in season 5. Can't help it :)

Wish Straz' had gone on with the Lost Tales that he was making. A real pity there.

  • I like the no lasers concept of Battlestar Galactica 2003. Lasers have grown to feel so unrealistic...

I like Fallout 3 lasers though. Look more like real life lasers. And the phasers in Star Trek 2009. Look a lot like artillery.

  • Te greatest SCI-FI series ever made!!!!

  • drakh had no chance with candyman (tony todd) and tony from 24

  • The writing on the various telemovies was nowhere near as good as the best of the series... Got to love 'consoshium' in a Russian accent... Special effects pretty good for the 90s. Bad music and mixing in this clip - not original? Yes, the captains having to say 'fire' is just silly. :) Hey, a JMS script that doesn't end in a nuke solving all their problems!

  • @random007nadir "Hey, a JMS script that doesn't end in a nuke solving all their problems!"

Nah, that one ends with ship ramming solving all their problems :-)

It seems to be a big temptation these days: The Pegasus in Galactica, the Spok Prime ship in Star Trek the Star Trek...

  • @Eikinkloster I'd rather a nuke or ramming be the solution than reversing the polarity of the mcguffin so the sillium can fire a stream of nonsensium particles at the target.

  • @Fbueller129 :-) I saw the Stargate spoof on Star Trek on the subject... but I gotta confess I don't recall seeing it myself on any Trek episode. Then again, I'm not half as autistic as it's needed to be to be a true trekker and keep track of these things. I even enjoyed Nemesis and bald Tom Hardy in it.

  • Isn't it a big silly that the captain has to keep saying "fire, fire fire"? Damn, there is a tactical officer there, let him acquire the targets and push the button. Unless it's a special maneuver, I doubt in real life navy the capitain will say fire EVERY SINGLE TIME the ship fires.

  • @Eikinkloster Those Victory Class ships had a lot of cannons + interceptors firing simultaneously. The constant "fire, fire fire" you were referring to would more than likely be directions to the main (though not THE main, drain the ship for two? minutes) guns.

Or it could be that JMS didn't want them just sat back in a chair reading a newspaper and casually looking up every minute or so :)

  • @chrisktaylor "JMS didn't want them just sat back in a chair reading a newspaper"

    :-) Good one.

I think it would make more sense if the captains were giving directions and choosing targets... or something like the Homeworld II chatter: "enemy is engaging..."

  • :-p One warhammer 40k battle barge like the Furious Abyss, could take on both of the fleets + the planets :-p probably because its full of guns and a size of a Babylon 5 station, :-p anyway babylon 5 was a greate series,

  • trolololololo...holy shit planet killer!!!

  • lol, what happens to that russian dude?

  • One thing I do not understand is that in all SF series and movies I have

only seen one where the moon was fortified and that was in Starship

troopers, I do not know why because it has an exellent flanking position

and are more or less impervious to planetary bombardment because

there will be no people there except the garrison and no atmosphere

to degrade weaponsystems., and you can put a lot of weapons on the

    surface.

  • @svartekaptenen and what if they come at the planet from the opposite side to where the moon is?

  • @svartekaptenen The GOD network was decimated during the episode Endgame. It is likely that it hadn't been replaced by the time of the Drakh invasion.

  • In Soviet Russia, Space invades YOU!!

  • Is there a clip with the proper music on it?

  • sheldon cooper will be dissapointed if he see me watching this Xd

  • I WANT MY FUCKING MONEY!!!!

  • music for this vid better tha oriignal

  • is it me or is the word of the day on babylon 5 happened to be 'FIRE!'

  • That was brilliant!

  • actuly theyr not EAS ther IAS there jest lennding thouse ships to the EA

  • @OldRockNeverDies Nops.

    DS9 is a bad copy of Babylon5.

  • @OldRockNeverDies Nops.

    DS9 is a bad copy of Babylon5.

  • Sheldon Cooper doesn't aprove!

  • Here's what actually happened (discovered by JMS a few years later)

    .

TNT found their audience preferred simple 1-episode stories, and wanted to buy Law&Order episodes to fit that audience, but they were stuck with the B5 Crusade contract. So they sabotaged the show by demanding things they KNEW J.Michael Straczynski would never agree to do

    .

And it worked - he got frustrated and walked from TNT's demands that Captain Gideon order his female crew to be raped by aliens, or to include wrestling

  • Victory class is my favourite sci-fi spaceship, followed by Prometheus from Star Trek and Executor class SSD.

  • The problem is that the sissy PC crowd would have find

excuses for this attack because they are culturally differnent'

and hence are above all reproach, think about that you PCs!

  • whats the name from the song at 2:15 ?

  • They stole some music from the Total Annihilation video game at 1:20.

  • where delen

  • what was the victory? they lost in the end the final ships left a disease in earths atmisphere...sorry for spelling

  • @PINTO2O2O The "Victory" of sorts was they stopped the Shadow Planet Killer, they had 2 targets and only enough firepower to stop 1. The Planet Killer which would pound Earth into rubble in a few salvos or the Plauge Fleet (Sheridan didnt know they were carrying plauge ether).

  • I was late to the B5 party, but from what I've seen it's awesome.

  • BSG (the new one) is probably one of the best sci-fi shows out there

  • the new battlestar sucked balls, compared to the original

  • @Lichbane1

You have to be on crack if you think that old BSG (made for 6-year-olds) was better than the recent re-imagined series!.

Also, shame about Crusade - TNT really screwed over what would've been another great JMS series.

  • Amiga forever!

  • I'm debating watching this. I've sat thru all of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe and also watched Battlestar Galatica so I'm wondering how this will compare.

  • @Alexedishi - For what its worth, BSG was the best show Ive seen since B5.

  • @gardengnome1981 WELL BATTLESTAR GALACTICA HAS BEEN AWARDED FOR BEST SHOW EVERY YEAR IT WAS OUT AND THATS FOR SCI-FI ACTION DRAMA AND NOT FORGETING BEST SHOW OF ALL TIME XD

  • @Alexedishi I do not know so much about the Babylon 5 spin offs but the original series is the best television series I have ever seen. I also do like Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.

  • Babylon 5 has ruined sci fi for me! I used to love Star Trek, Farscape etc, but after watching the whole of Babylon 5 everything else seems so poor in comparison! :( Still, what a show! Just wish it had gone on for a few more seasons! :)

  • @alexandercominski

you should see battletar galatica you will be surprised how fu""" ing amazing this series is a just finished seiing all 4 seasons and i can tell you mind blowing good argument actors special effects almost realistic give it a try you wont be sorry i think its the best series i ever seen (and i am very hard to impress ) ;)

  • nice one man, i will! :) Do you mean the new one or the original?

  • the new one... i think the first season dates from 2003/2004 i cant tell for shure but do some googling and you wll find it.. if you haveving problems finding the series i will give you some links to help ....cherrs mate

  • dfdfd

  • BSG is fuckin shit.

  • @OpeningSalvoe

BSG wasn't scifi, it was soapfi.

  • @RCTPatriot75 What's this in response to again?

  • @alexandercominski , Agreed B5 is amazing, I nearly died at the end of B5, I was so upset when B5 was decommisioned & blown up. I went looking for a nice length of rope.

  • went lookin for a nice piece of rope love it lol

  • i got some i can lend u. but give it back after ur done.

  • @Carcass1701 It made it worse to see Crusade and Rangers come out and be pure shite.

  • @alexandercominski youre so right ...

  • @alexandercominski hehe... I wonder.... how do you feel about Star Wars? :P

  • @alexandercominski dude...seriously? it was scheduled for 7 seasons... Its a good story, it wasnt ment to continue..on...and on...and on..and on...unlike the other two giants out there.

im sure somewhere along the line there will be another babylon series, but not right now.

  • @alexandercominski

Babylon 5 and Farscape are leagues above everything else. I was a B5 fan before I got into Farscape and I have to say as much as I loved B5 Farscape is my favorite.

  • @alexandercominski If you want a show thats just as good. Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Its an 80s anime but one of the best I have seen.

  • @alexandercominski i agree why do they always stop a show when it good just like stargate sg1

  • @alexandercominski it ran 7 seasons, exactly how long the director wanted. I hope though one day, we will see a big budget movie ...id go to the big screen and tolerate the stupid noisy humans beside me to watch one.

  • @alexandercominski bsg ....

  • You don't know what you're talking about. That video was great and the music was a good match with the footage.

  • 0:25, They got Bruce Willis! Yay, he's gunna kick some ass. lol !!

(I know it isn't really him btw.)

  • True that Jerry Doyle is a better actor

  • You almost expect a Yippie-Kay-Yay or something like that to be heard in a fight :D

  • Supreme Commander Music?!?!

  • How does this show compare to Battlestar Galactica

  • @HeroOfCanton99 this is best scifi ever

  • That's good - I heard so many good things about it... And I don't really care much for BSG

  • moron

  • @HeroOfCanton99

I like it infinitely better. It had coherent story arcs.

  • @HeroOfCanton99 Firefly rules!

  • Storyline - B5(well thought out story with much more satisfying ending), Cast - tie(Katsulas/Jurasik - B5 vs Hogan/Olmos - BSG, it's a wash), Direction - BSG(First 2 seasons were incredibly paced and eagerly anticipated), I won't count cg since it's unfair to compare current cg to cg from 10 years ago. B5 is much more conventional sci-fi whereas BSG is more drama with sci-fi elements. It's going to depend on what you like - I happen to think both were great shows to watch.

  • Well the specialeffects would be a outdated compared to BSG, but the story is a good or even better. I would describe B5 as Lord of the Rings in Space. Really great character development, better then BSG in my opinion.

  • @arveduilastking

I havnt watched B5 but if it does have better character development than BSG then it must be literally amazing.Because BSG was by far the best sci fi TV show ive ever seen.BSG made me have no life for quite some time.Everything about it was amazing

  • @arveduilastking Oh HELLA better than BSG.

  • @arveduilastking for one, the show wasn't overly depressing.

  • the only thing i didnt like about this show was the scripting. the captains ceep saying fire. they should have someone else doing that the captain just orders the ship to come about or directs the fire but doesnt say when to fire thats not there job. i think battlestar galactica perfected that. along with the awsome scripting

  • The original music score for this movie episode was awful, this music here is better, any music would have been. The original music ruined this movie for me.

  • It's gash!

  • Your dubbed sound drowns out the originaly audio. Next time, turn it down.

  • At 1:51, isn't that Ben Hur from Tim and Eric?

  • Then why are you searching for them and commenting? Shut up and slag off and let the rest of us enjoy them.

  • Good to have the Candy man Candy man Candy man on our side !!!

  • At 3:00, it's Carlos Bernard from 24!

  • call to arms spawned the tv show crusade.. i was watching it the other day and one of the flaws of crusade is the intro. The acting was okay, but no match for b5 days.

  • thats why that JMS dude canceld it the network wanted to cahnge alot of things, the uniform epasode was a joke set to the network cause they pressured it into the show. after a few of them JMS said fuck it and stoped making em. Crusade could have been a great show had potental if JMS had total controll.

  • Does anybody know where I can get the full movie A call to arms on the internet?

  • 2:12 good music

  • Music was a bit too loud, drowned out a lot of the voices.

  • how did marjean holden go from doctor to navigator?

  • holdens can do anything!

  • Acutally , i just want to say that, you are not christopher Franke

  • Read the credits for this video:

Music by Jeremy Soule. Should you have seen the original film, Christopher Franke also did not score this movie, Call to Arms either.

  • @Nostalgeek This movie served as the pilot for the new show Crusade, and JMS wanted it to have a different sound from Babylon 5

    .

  • Hey sound track! Wanna back off a bit?!

  • everyone commenting on B5 needs to watch the entire series. It was done as 1 story over 5 years, not 100 episodes that can be broadcast out of order.

Think of it as a video book. Seeing 1-2 episodes doesn't mean anything.

If you like it. Start with season 1, episode 1 and go from there.

  • question: I'm gonna go ahead with this one but I just wanted to know how many seasons is there? If there is too many I need to re organize my media calender

  • That's a bit misleading - while there was a story arc stretched across 4 seasons, there were also many, many filler-episodes which could be ignored (some of them were abysmal - Grey 17 is missing for example, or Born to the Purple). Seasons 1 and 5 were almost entirely filler.

  • I need to watch Babylon 5, i watched like 2 episodes when i was like 4, and i forgot how good this was....

    wow....good shit

  • What song is playing during the battle.

  • i love the victory class also.. .but shouldnt there be one of those cannons on the bottom of the ship to cover all angles ? there are 2 up top... im no expert or anything , just think its a design flaw not to place a gun under also ? maybe im being too pickey lol

  • but dont forget earth is the underdog and we did come to their rescue a number of times but not much

  • I love the Victory class... However aren't the other races tired of sending there ships to help defend Earth!?!? I mean come on! Maybe Minbar or Centari, or even Narn would come under attack! And we could see the IA and earth come to there defense... I mean that's what the Alliance is all about! Right?

  • actually the biggest battle in the series was around an alien world... when the ancients all came to help

  • actually there were other allaince ships there, if u look u see white stars, those membari blue ones drazi all of them

  • I miss the original music - it was brilliant - too good for most of the people who first watched, I think - too long in the past to worry about it ...

  • i thought it was the IAS victory and the IAS excaliber

  • The IA gave those two ships to the EA temporarily until a cure had been found.

  • no they only gave the excaliber to the EA because the victory is destroyed in the battle

  • glad the original music has been replaced because it sucked royal ass.

  • Don't flat-out say "they were wrong," when you also put an assumption in the next sentence.

I doubt you would know much about really goes on behind those closed political doors - and certainly since there hasn't been any major wars (world) in over 60 years.

Besides, if a fact that the us only had two nuclear bombs. Why would you need more when you've literally blown the enemy into surrender?

  • Epic battle.

  • One of the men in this video wears glasses. Should the medicine be more advanced at the time this battle took place? ;-)

  • maybe over the next 2 centuries, they find out lenses and laser eye is bad for your health :p

  • B5 was the best sci-fi in a long time. Yeah, most of the movies were terrible. I liked Call to Arms and Thirdspace.

  • What about "In the Beginning"!?!?!??!

  • I love Babylon 5, but perhaps this should have been called "FIRE!: The Musical"

  • Fire!

  • Guest Starring Beavis as one of the captains! ;)

Sheridan and Beavis and Garibaldi tag teaming! Oh and Ivanova too.

  • at least its music that fits this setting. I hate B5 vids with dumb rock songs, IT DOES NOT MATCH FUCK CRYING OUT LOUD. Jeremy Soule rocks. and so does Supreme Commander.

  • iritataing music why do everyone need to have music in their videos you cant even hear what they say

  • agreed

  • DeltaRomeoNiner..i have seen some of your vids...very good...this 1 however had a fatal flaw...the music was too loud..it spoilt the video a bit im sorry to say..otherwise good vid

  • Its all about money, when the spent money the shows were good, when they cut the budget and wrote interior based shows and filler shows they sucked. Bean counters sank B5 and have made sure all spinoffs and movies have sucked since. Low budget plus sci fi equals crap. If you cant fund it dont make it.

  • hey what was Candyman doing in that battle?

  • LOL yep :D

  • If you see the earlier part Sheridan says "Candyman" three times and the Victory suddenly appears.

  • supreme commander music?

  • A good clip, BUTCHERED by bad, loud music.

  • Those ships rocked. But... I believe in nuclear weapons! They would make such a BANG in any sci fi battle!!!
