I'm a pasty white guy who wears a cowboy hat, yet I'm a huge fan of Aaliyah and her music. I think that's a testament to her ability. Her R&B was so forward-thinking for its time; truth be told, I catch myself listening to her and Michael Jackson much more than I do country music, save for Dwight Yoakam, Mark Chesnutt, and Gary Allan. Absolutely heartbreaking her life and career were cut short.

what i think of when i think of Aaliyah is my fear that ppl will forget her. i was 16 when she died so of course i pretty much grew up listening to her, but teenagers now were babies when she was at her peak and it worries me that she will be another singer that was here and just isnt anymore. i really wish the family would agree to do the movie.

@leplaq i don't think so me personally I believe if u are REALLY a true fan you will never let Aaliyah die (saying "you" as in general) at first I was scared of the same thing but Aaliyah got more than enough fans to hold her down for the next 20, 30 years to come; remember Aaliyah was ahead of her time meaning the music she left ain't going nowhere no time soon no matter how old they are..take this song for example this song still sound new Aaliyah knew what she was doing :)
