I thank GOD that Moby does not appeal to the world of listeners of the likes of Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Justin Beiber and the corporate crap that capitalists shove down our throats. I would hope he would off himself to stop that. I hope he keeps on being the artist he is, and not some profit center. He ALREADY is a star and a gift to us! He makes us feel. He makes us better.
Wow...I was just about to leave the house to go and spend day 4 sitting by my dad's side as he lays in palliative care dying from cancer. I was surfing the net and decided to randomly watch a Moby video. I had never seen (or heard) this one before. I'm not a believer or spiritual, but I needed this. Thanks Moby.
Moby isn't underrated at all, Cockoblock...he is just not "mainstream"...although you hear his music in anything from car commercials to movie soundtracks, to television soundtracks, etc. His music is NOT to be listened AT as top-40, but to be listened TO as a statement.
I discovered Moby's music about 8 years ago with "Natural Blues"...then I heard some of his other sounds. Now, every time I hear something new by him, I am totally amazed, totally stunned, totally encapsulated by the sound, hypnotized, and can almost recognize his music whether I know the song or not. He has a distinctive sound, he is NOT a "SINGER", per se, but he is an ARTIST. Anyone wanna challenge me on this?
"The way I perceive the music I make is often times quite different I know other people might perceive it, but that's one of the things that make -- its like a really interesting dialectic, you make music remakable, and you put it out in the world, and you see how other people respond to it."
Moby has been part of the soundtrack of my life since the early 90's. On most of my social networks I list my favorite types of music as "everything from Mozart to Moby". I like the way his music is constantly evolving, as should we all. I admire Moby both as an artist and a person. He seems to have a beautiful soul. This video is wonderful.
@Cockoblock I agree with what you're saying but I don't think he's really underrated at all! Like he was one of the biggest electronic artists of the 90's and helped bring the genre to where it is today! And underrated artists don't have 1.3 million followers on twitter!
Mo looks so happy, awwwww..... I soooo look forward to seeing this video in full!! Thank you ever so much for sharing this!!! Love, Rachelle xxxxoooo @>-->--
