The reason Iran does not attack is not because they cannot do it; it is because it will start a war. i dont want war either, while U.S. vs iran might not be that bad other nations will join like russia, & if china joined their army so big they can line up their troops in rows of 20 & march into the pacific, eventually a huge bridge made of people will be made and china will still have tons of troops ready 2 fight, but if JUST U.S. and iran went 2 war U.S. victory is inevitable. we have another 7 supercarriers we could use if we had 2, & our navy is the strongest, we are the global police force.

@Boinkmakr Persian Gulf is very shallow (the deepest part is only 55m deep) and warships can be attacked easily from under surface stations or subs. The reason Iran does not attack is not because they cannot do it; it is because it will start a war. But if war breaks out then Iran has no option but to defent itself and sink as many warships as it can.

I was worried for a while about the Iranian navy...until I watch this video..lol even though the mistaking of flight 655 as a Iranian F-14 the USN did at the moment of truth did what they thought they had to do to defend its ship I am glad we compensated for the tragedy, however I can't but feel great that we have a good if not a great Navy if things get out of hand in the strait of hormoz I am now more confidant that we'll just like really fuck up there navy all's I gotta say is ya'll Iran suck

i dont want war either, while U.S. vs iran might not be that bad other nations will join like russia, & if china joined their army so big they can line up their troops in rows of 20 & march into the pacific, eventually a huge bridge made of people will be made and china will still have tons of troops ready 2 fight, but if JUST U.S. and iran went 2 war U.S. victory is inevitable. we have another 7 supercarriers we could use if we had 2, & our navy is the strongest, we are the global police force.

I was onboard the uss Samuel B Roberts on April 14th 1988, and remember talking with my fellow EW's on the Wainwright, right after the Mine Blast occured. Now 21 years later I remember listening to the action onboard the roberts during operation Preying Mantis. It was a great memory. Thanks shipmates

That's the islamic iranian navy's fault. They were illegally mining the Gulf and sinking or damaging civilian and military ships. The US Navy deployed at a high alert status in response. It's also the islamic iranian air force's fault for flying F-14's out of the same base as jetliners. The Navy guys just did what they were supposed to when aircraft from an evil country flies near them, they shot it down. The best part is that they got medals!
