A few girls can defeat boys on a regular basis (usually in the lower weight bracklets). We won't see boys being dethroned from wrestling until we see some Big Ten female champs or Olympic female champs. As of yet, there are none.

Further - using the technique in competition is only part of the equation. What about practices during the week? How frequently would practice partners throw each other like that?

it's always a good idea when going into any wrestling match to know how to proctect yourself, one of the first things my freestyle coach taught me was what to do when someone throws you like that which is to tuck your chin into your chest and cross your arms... let's just hope you have enough time to remember that ;)
