@boredwiththegame I wish the "V" album would be rereleased on CD and vinyl, I'd give anything to hear Clearlight Symphony's "Extract From Part One" and the original version of Steve Hillage's "Pentagrammaspin"
@Doobie1975 I had forgotten that track and have just googled the name to find its part of the Gong 'family' It may be disappointing as an album as my mate bought White Noise 2 by David Vorhaus (she fell in love with the excerpt ) only to discover that the excerpt had been so well put together it was better than the whole album.
no word to say how brilliant kevin coyne is ,,,,,,found an album of his in junk shop in the 70s never heard of him at that time ,,,,that was the best 50p i ever spent ,,,,thank you
First heard this in 1982 on John Peel show, i taped it onto an old C60 cassette which is now unlistenable!, thank you for filling my heart with joy once more! God bless you Kevin, i bet you;re playing still upstairs.
Thanx. First heard on JP when I was a kid; one of the best songs of its kind. I've been searching for this song for years, having lost my copy - rediscovering it after so many years, it totally fulfilled its promise. Truly inspiring.
OMG I absolutely LOVE this song, one of my all time favorites, thank you for putting it on here, did you get this off of the 1975 "V" Virgin Sampler Album?
@Doobie1975 I still have the V album and listen to it at least once a week.....so many great tracks on one seemingly ordinary compilation!

wasted anticipation
disillusion
loss
sordid Woolworths pearls and thrown away engagement rings
ah, those were the days

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've had ever heard, I have first discovered this song on SIRIUS 16's The VAULT (now Deep Tracks)
