  • loved the movie !! last 20 minutes was bad ...could of took time on a better ending onstead of a rushed unsatisfiying ending !!! 9/10 would be 10 with a good ending

  • WTF 14? I loved this movie, but i thinknit's a little exagerated

  • 2:15 SALT???

  • Plot puzzles? His family is killed. Darby gets a deal. He spends the next 10 years buying properties and dug a multiple exit tunnel connected to the isolation wing cells of the prison. That's why he kills his cellmate. To get thrown into isolation and start his chaos. I actually like the ending of this. I'd give Gerard Butler a B+ for his acting. When he chopped up Darby, you actually found yourself cheering for him to do it. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars.

  • bad movie(especially the end) 4 out 10

  • mszunefan

Exactly he decided the judge had to pay bcuz she would have left he off and thus he could kill more people . The only reason she didnt was he admitted he did the killing to prove the point that the justice system is corrupt. As for the lawyer I believe it was the same case but he didnt want to kill him. Gerald Butler's character wanted to persuade the lawyer of what he believed was truth. As the character said everyone would be held accountable for their actions.

  • I'm sorry but I cannot understand someone respects this fucking shit piece of movie :S The whole concept is that he's SUPERsmart and knows how to attack people from a closed jail cell.. In the end he's done it all through a hole in his cell.. Wtf :S Then what's left of the concept of the movie? Any fool can dig a hole in his cell and start shooting people.. Not to mention you'd think this is the FIRST place Jamie Fox would have checked.. Utter horrible shit movie!

  • @TTFLS way to be a buzz kill

  • @slomo93 Don't see it a buzz kill, but as someone who saves you time and possibly even some money :D:D

  • @TTFLS i saw the movie and it was awesome. ur just a total buzz kill about it and u have no sense of what's good entertainment.

  • @slomo93 looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so this guy is supposed to be some master genius that can disappear out of his cell to kill people and give others the orders to do so and the cops can't figure out why after heavy investigation, but in the end its all just because he dug a whole in his cell? And I am the one who doesn't like good entertainment? Looooooooooooooool!!!

  • @TTFLS I believe u focusing on the events. This movie is jus not about things happening . It questions wat is justice? Wat does it mean to be a lawyer? Is the system corrupt? How far would someone go to obtain justice?

  • @darkironyoshi loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool wtf r u talking about? I know at least 10 movies which plays with this theme, good movies even... This is an action movie you dumb ass... You are seeing things that are not here...

  • @TTFLS 1st of all ur not bein a good persuader by jus callin wat i saw ta movie as dum. Second i neber said it wasnt an action movie. Action movies hold themes 2. Ill support wat i saw by statin wat i saw. 1st The Gerald Butler character tells Jamie Fox's character throughout ta movie tryin 2 show tat the system is corrupt. 2nd G.B.'s character confronts J.F.'s character of ta corruption and in ta end he realizes bein a lawyer was more ten a meanin of stats. G.B.'s actions support my 3rd point.

  • @darkironyoshi And your second comment, sorry for saying so(just noticed it) is really completely ridiculous... How is the system corrupt? Its imperfect, those are too different things and something that anybody from 10 years old on knows... Its just like democracy, its imperfect, but better then the previous systems... Which kinda is the idea of a system... A system is always imperfect, the idea of a system is imperfect, but a system is needed as long as we live in chaos...

  • @darkironyoshi now that would be a theme instead of this garbage... Please elaborate on your 2nd and 3rd point since your writing is making it hard to understand what you mean and if I am correct there is no 3rd point at all...

  • Wat i meant is u looked at wat happened. Not every action movie has 2 b Micheal Bay shit wit explosions and no character. Tis movie held character as well as the action. Also I c movies as songs. Ppl can get many different messages from music as well as tey could get from movies [even if tat was not the creators intention]. Also next time u reply 2 one of my comments make sure 2 support ur argument. And if u insist on bein patheic and stoop 2 namecallin plz stay in kindergarten.

  • @darkironyoshi Okay you r right, name calling is very childish.. But you must admit that you are approaching this whole situation in a very childish way.. This movie does not at all deal with what people are willing to do in such situations etc.. He starts right of with killing people and keeps doing so until he isn't able to do so anymore.. This actually has nothing to do with the system, the man himself or the people on the other side...

  • @darkironyoshi There is no internal battle or a pre situation posted, there is no theme but the action theme.. Which is why its such a shitty movie.. That some people might make their own story of it because they hear the music this or that way does not in anyway mean it is actually so.. Just because people think Catcher in the Rye is a good book because they see things that aren't there, does not make it so... Simple fact, its a plane action movie with a shitty construction...

  • @darkironyoshi Lol have u ever thought about the theme of justice? Have you ever thought about making justice yourself? There is no other part in the world who has thought this theme over more then the Europeans... Its reflected in our whole society... If this movie is supposed to play with these themes, its even shittier then before... But it doesn't... Sorry amigo, but this movie is plane shit... Look at the comments... People preferring it over the Godfather...

  • @darkironyoshi Which gives you kind of an idea about what kind of people watch these kinds of movies and like them.. People who love action movies... The simple kind of action movies I mean of course, the factory entertainment.. The same kind of people who love 'Rob Schneider is...' 'A hamburger, and he needs to become a milkshake by the end of the summer'... Which there are made hundreds from a year... Exactly the reflection I see in my video store, where I worked for 6 years...

  • @slomo93 Yeah that's a real climax in the order of Fight Club, Inception, The Village etc etc etc..

Loooooool how could you even like such childish and awful movies and then claim someone else doesn't know good entertainment loooooooooool :D:D:D:D

Wanna see great entertainment in the same kind of psychological thriller? Go and watch some 'Edward Norton' movies! Or if your just looking for a no brainer, take something modern like 'Shutter Island'.. Now thát's entertainment right there for ya!

  • @TTFLS i agree with you on this movie(laws abiding citizen) its just sucked

  • @wilhelmscream25 amen!

  • I have no idea why everyone is cumming over this film, whilst the moral ambiguity is probably the best thing about the film, the ethics of what hes up to.

Its nothing we havent seen before, the film "Inside Man" did that idea much better.

and when the people said "10 out of 10"!!!! I nearly fainted at how people can think it was PERFECT, The Godfather is perfect, this was a easy 4-5/10.

Acting was alright, direction was good enough. and its pronounced "Wimmer", not "Whymer".

  • @rorrt Get over it. It was a good movie, but there will always be people that will be all "OMG OMG 10/10 IT'S > TEH GODFATHER OMG" when it was only good, not perfect :/

  • @Assasin1025

10 out of...i can't believe i'm telling anyone this...10 out of 10 mean its PERFECT, 100%. Everything is as good as it could possibly be. If i came home with lets say. A cake, and that cake was only 50%, as far as anyone is concerned that is not a perfect cake, if must necessarily be at 100%.

And anyone who gives what every sane, rational thinking individual would think is good, worth admission. Will never rewatch. Will never give it a perfect 10.

Its just not up to scratch.

  • @Assasin1025 Thats a matter of opinion. for me its a clear 10/10 and i would choose it over The godfather anyday

  • @kikitzu33 Lol over the godfather?

  • @TTFLS As i said its a matter of opinion so for me its yes, I prefer this one.

  • @kikitzu33 Looooooooooooool, first of all, weak comment!!! Second of all... NO ITS NOT A MATTER OF OPINION YOU TARD!!!!!!!! This is actually a matter of facts... Go and enjoy your b movies you imbecile.. But don't bother other people who actually do know what they are speaking of with your worse then amaturistic nonsense :D:D:D:D

  • @TTFLS it IS a matter of opinion. im sorry ive been reading ur comments and it looks like uve had some strong opinions urself. but please dont go insulting people calling them imbeciles just becuase the perfer one movie over the other. liking isnt a matter of "Facts". and dont talk like ur some kind of "BIG SHOT" who "knows what he talking about", becus in the end all u have is an opinion ur not trying to prove anything

  • @Assasin1025

It is a perfect film. Acting: The best actors of the time, i won't bother naming them all because i would be here all day; Brando, Pacino, Duvall, Caan, Diane Keaton. You're unlikely to find a better ensamble in a film without it all falling apart under those massive names

Direction: Francis Ford Coppola: Possibly the best director of his day. Made some of the best films ever. he has three films in the National Film Registry

Not to mention a screenplay to die for

    IT IS A 10/10!

  • @rorrt I kinda dissagree and i prefer this over the godfather by far. Remember this is my opinion and that everyone has different tastes

  • I had to rewatch this movie yesterday because my Wife and her parents haven't seen it. I tried to warn them against it. The reason I hate this film is because just because you have been wronged it makes no sense to torture and kill people. Also people like the Judge and the Killer's lawyer didn't do anything except their job why did they die?

  • I really like the host, she's pretty, awesome and pretty awesome...

  • @ilgeneralisimo her voice is incredibly annoying

  • Do you live in Harlem or something, you always interview black people

  • i have to agree that this is a hell of a movie but it is still nothing compared to what steven spielberg does!

  • gerard in romcoms??? no no way. he was made for action movies.

  • shitty ending clyde shuda lived

  • equlibrum CRAP YOU SHALL DIE!

  • I'm really impressed. This Technological thriller was stunning. This genre isn't very popular but should be. Gerard Butler made this film - phenomenal acting. He should leave useless comedies and focus on more serious roles like this one. Of course the storyline wasn't that original. We could see many similarities with other technological thrillers like The Net, Disclosure, The Specialist, The Assassination File, Untraceable and even Minority Report but still it was superb movie!!!

  • A disgusting plea for brutal self-justice ruins an otherwise solid thriller

  • in my mind Clyde was the good guy

  • the ending sucked. they convinced us that clyde was a calm genius killing people from prison. i was like OMG HOW DID HE DO THAT and his 'secret' was that he could leave his cell for hours at a time (which is unrealistic since he's in the isolation cell and should be under high security), and after we saw a whole movie full of his very smart murders he was outsmarted by a lawyer. no, not the best movie ever.

  • I watched this movie with my older sister, Sometimes she forgets Im only 13.

  • i think im gonna be like that too.. my mom has been accused for something she didnt do.. we cant pay the bills and dont have enough money to support me to school since she has no work... and now.. when justice isnt served well she will be going to jail... and that sucks.. and if that will happen i think im going to kill somebody

and i mean seriously. when you have money. you can get a good lawyer.. thus got a higher chance of winning the case.. too bad i dont have money T__T

    i wish God Helps me

  • This was a really great movie. Very under rated. I hope it finds a huge audience on DVD.

  • one of the best movies I've seen but the ending sucked.I was really dissapointed about the ending, cause i just fucking loved clyde.

  • I don't understand why so many people didn't like the ending. It seems cool that Clyde was doing all this to teach Nick a lesson.

  • 0:01

  • mhmm love Gerard Butler <3

  • Good movie, but the ending was shit. I mean, C'mon. That lawyer was a little bitch. Clyde was supposed to be a genius, and he gets outsmarted by JAMIE FOXX?! WTF

  • in the movie when he was cuaght by the swat he was naked but when he walked out he was wearing pants hmm???

  • learn to talk lady

  • this movie was mediocre crap.

a horible ending, start it smart but end it dumb.

    my opion.

  • Why does the movie review sites say the this movie is crap? We have to make a movie murdering these people fighting for the rights.

  • this movie would have been perfect if shelton got to blow the fuck out of city hall and get every single crook in it. this movie made me realize how corrupt the "justice" system is in this country and probably everywhere else.

  • I loved the movie so freacking much, but the ending just made me slap myself...I just didn't like it.Don't worry i won't spoil it for you, but personally i was incredibly dissapointed of the end, everything else was incredible though.

  • dude i think this movie would of been ten times better if clyde would of lived because jamie foxx was a str8 up bitch in the movie and at the end of the movie it looks like it didnt even effect him =(

  • @wytekody Dude don't spoil the movie for everyone, jeez...

  • @wytekody man I couldn't agree with you more. The ending ruined it. The whole movie is was like, hell yeah. But I literally said WTF in the end

  • Great movie. I just wish Butler would have killed Foxx because he was a cunt. But that's not what Clyde was out to do, he could have if he wanted.

  • @GlennShook no he wanted to kill jamie foxx. He just didn't get to it yet. And damn i was soooooo mad when he didn't get to kill him. I mean, seriously? he was supposed to be genius. How did he get outsmarted by JAMIE FOXX!?

  • Movie is one of the best ive seen, but the ending was corny. Clyde was the hero not the villain =D, i was thinking kill all of mofo's

  • Guys, you all are complaining about the ending but what else have you expected? Clyde surviving? Where would be the point? He had lost everything anyway..so what would be the point of living for himk any longer? The only thing I would have liked to happen is that jamie foxx should have been died. but this would have been, on the other hand, way too foreseeable.. the ending turned out suprisingly.. and this was the purpose, 'I guess. It was unexpected and this was somehow great, not typical.

  • @sivascani87

The ending was corny, it woulda of been better if Clyde killed Nick's wife and daughter so Nick could sympothise nd try 2 get clyde executed but the justice fails like it did 4 clyde.

The film buit up that Clyde was a super genius, he predicted most of Nicks next move, but he got caught out in the end it would of been better if clyde met nick in the tunnels waiting for him.

Personally i wanted Clyde to kill everybody involved just to prove how the justice system was screwed up.

  • Wow this was a good movie

  • you know I didnt like Gerard butler, but to be honest I am starting to like him, I mean you cant deny he plays some great characters in some great movies, Gladiator, Cinderella man, as well as others........ I think he is going to play in Robin Hood which would be amazing

  • @leafsfan9917 Gladiator? I don't recall him, perhaps you were thinking of Russel Crowe. He was in 300 though.

  • @TheKreetian shit your right, god I got the two of them mixed up, russle crow is also in cinderella man and Robin hood I think, they look kind of the same I guess, Im an idiot

  • @leafsfan9917 np I was actually talking to someone the other day and said Butler was in Robin Hood. lol.

  • @TheKreetian Fine make me look like an idiot! (I think I combined the two of them somehow)

  • just downloaded the movie...great!!!

  • Just watched this at Top Movie Share . net - it was really good!!

  • The motherfucking payback... brains... and hardcore cold justice achieved through science and technology.

For a person like me, who hates the law system, lawyers and politicians -or at least thinks that's just bullshit that doenst help the world get better - and loves engineering and science, this is THE PERFECT MOVIE. AN EPITOME.

"I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I'm gonna bring the whole fuckin' diseased, corrupt temple down on your head. It's gonna be biblical. " Fuck Yeah =D!

  • wow this was an awesome movie!!!, but the ending to it was an epic fail i was also rooting clyde

  • did this bitch just call equilibrium crap?

    >_> fail

  • Loved THIS MOVIE.

  • Not a bad looking bird!!!!!

  • Great movie.

it should've been 2 hour longer, with clyde in a more omnipotent role instead of rushing the ending :(

also could've used some more nitric acid, belt sanders or sand blasters for a superriffic ultrakill.

  • this movie was great, much better than Gamer, which SUCKED

  • @arf900 nah ahmer was mediocre

  • worse movie I've ever seen

  • @oystein127 I don'tlike bullshit movies. The good guy dies and the bad guy gets to live...wtf?

  • i love movies where planning is emphasized. hell he could have taken out the president, he is that good.

when all the variables are taken out of the equation you leave nothing to chance

  • a awesome movie with great performances by both actors and is shows the truth of the justice system not only in US but the entire human society. it also shows how people would care and fell about it and how far they would go to fix it.

overall. is a great film and i recommend anybody who like drama film or a fan of the actors. i give it a 8.9/10 and a full price rating as the only bad thing about it is the ending .

  • fantastic movie. I was always on clyde´s side, even though he started going kinda crazy towards the end. But hey, what would you expect from a guy that had his whole family brutally murdered in front of him??

  • bad movie, I started out on Clyde's side, but he killed people way to willingly. and I wish someone would have just shot him, the best part was where he get's punked at the ending

  • @EnergizerBunny804 T_T how can you not be on Clyde's side

  • @TitanuimWolf been a while since I saw the film, but from what I remember he's just kind of a cunt, although it was satisfying seeing him blown the fuck up

  • Stupid interviews....

    Oooo nice :/

  • I jsut saw this movie why didn't this get any Oscar attention? This was an overall FANTASTIC film.

  • Spies are a dime a dozen. Clyde is a brain. Good movie, lousy review.

  • LOL nyce shirt

  • Many of us would fantasize doing what Clyde did after the horror he endured. People can identify with Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler character) who feel the need to change the judicial system. We need more Clyde's in this world. Really makes us think about what we would do if we realized our justice system does not just protect the innocent.

Face it... sometimes it takes a vigilante to right some wrongs. Well, I guess everyone has felt that way once in awhile. A good eye opener for lawyers!

  • pretty much i think this movie sums up americas justice system today, and over all is a very great movie.

definitely a 5 out of 5! not only was it suspenseful

but it gives that cold hearted feeling of when your doing something bad and down right believing it is for a greater cause. L.A.C. was by far the best movie i have seen to date and hope to see more like it in the up coming future.very much so worth the money!

  • Best movie iv'e seen in along time, and yes the ending was this movies only downfall i was rooting for clyde.

  • @IMFLORIDA305 Me too, I wanted him to kill everybody.

  • Yeah, me too. Nick (Jamie Foxx) shouldn't have walked away scot-free after starting starting the whole mess. That made me a little sick. Entertaining film otherwise.

  • @IMFLORIDA305 Yeah im pissed at the ending the good guys always win :I

  • it was reallly good, but i thought it was just a little to short :/

  • lol good thing i finnished seeing it before i read this jokes on u !

  • @GamingHell

too bad no one actually looked at ur comment who actually wanted to see the movie that came out last year in august and i already watched it soooo yeahh sorry to burst your bubble

  • i was rooting for clyde... i was hoping jamie foxx would have got what he deserved. he was such a douchebag in the movie.

  • Best movie ever!!

  • Gerard Butler's character was stupid for opening the door without seeing who it is. He just blindly open the door like he know who it is then boom!!! bat to his face.

  • Yea i agree ending would be better i thought that at that concert at the end it would be cool imagine bomb inside that violin or whatever it is and they all go boom :D

  • i like her shirt...

  • he wasnt an ex spy...

  • if people are saying its so great how come it only managed to get 24% on rotten tomatoes?

  • Common it's an American movie. Is it not? You cant release the guy that killed so many people. I totally agree about the ending but hey, what choice did they have? Nice movie!!!

  • this movie was awesome but the ending could have been better

  • I think the movie was pretty cool...but the ending kinda sucked

  • yeah just watched it.. good movie.

  • awsome! great movie

  • The Movie was so Smart and clever, I give it a 9.5/10 because of the costars bad acting...

  • ..awesome movie - see it

  • LOL AT THE GUY SAYING '''9''

  • One of the best Thrillers this year!

  • damien91192293 ur the one thats alone 20 year old and a geek that is prob still a virgin lmao

  • This movie was good, but the ending was kinda disapointing...

  • Grace you do an amazing job hosting and editing

  • Best movie i've seen in my life.

I watch a LOT of movies.

  • It was good, but the ending was its only downfall.

  • Agreed, but it was so awesome i forgave it. :P

  • i was even more thrilled with the scenes here than paranormal activities.

  • same here i jumped once during paranormal activity (the end) and found a few parts mildly creepy i can list them on one hand

during this i was squirming in my seat :P

  • i loved this movie

the scene with the judge and the cellphone was epic

the only reason i didn't like the ending is because i was rooting for him to succeed (trying not to give anything away)

  • Comment removed

  • lol, and how he was just looking at the bracelet?

it's one of the few movies i plan on seeing twice along withinglorious bastards, and zombieland

  • thanks for ruining it ASSO FAGGOT BITCH MOTHERFUCKER SUCK MY DICK U COCK GUZZLING SACK OF SHIT DAMIEN91192293 fuck u burn in hell motherfucker with female tendencies to just tell the end like that motherfucker faggot bitch ass nigga

  • haha i said that to see how many ppl would reply to me, relax i was just trolling

  • Very favorable toward Gerard Butler

and Jamie Foxx. Hope GB gets an

    Oscar!!

  • That did look like a good movie. Maybey I'll try it.

  • this movie sucked? well obviously you need to go back to having no taste and go back to watching d-wars

  • d wars sweety im not old like u are. and taste? for what revenge of course ur a work of the devil

  • i do wonder why youve been alone for so long, probably because i aint that old i said i was that old for shits and giggles im 20 years old thanks, damn feminist trying to ruin the video for everyone else, you have mental issues

  • i saw it was pretty good the begining wasnt good but it had a good story line they didnt really say why his family died and the movie sorta went bland but feeling of geting revenge aginst that person was good

  • His famiy was murdered watch it again.

  • they do say how they died

  • during a robbery his family was murdered his wife and daughter were raped i thought it was clear as day and i felt sympathy for him

  • @thepliskin5005 they did explain in fact they showed it happen

  • sweet review by the people

  • I'm not sure why people think the justice system is setup to protect criminals when the United States has the highest prison population than rest of the entire world...nearly 2 1/2 million people...that's a lot of shoplifting and jaywalking, wouldn't you agree?

  • lots of murderers and rapists too. seems you can hear about someone dying everyday.

You have to do something with them.

  • just saw this. does not deserve 14/10! it was ok...entertaining. End was not satisfying at all. Acting was iffy. Well Jamie Foxx and Gerald Butler were fine, but the rest...iffy! Also, the begining was to short.

It should show more of a connection with Gerald's characters family. So not that much character in my opinon! So i say...save 10 bucks and wait for DVD.

    4.5/10

  • ur high

  • Grace this is a movie that needed to be made. For too long our justice system has been set up to protect criminals. Not just CEOs and the like, but small time shoplifters as well. I'm not even allowed to accuse people of stealing from my store because the company is afraid of law suits.

You get FIVE stars for the lady with the tinted glasses.

  • Sorry to hear that about your store, tripthe1! That sucks. :( And I agree, this movie makes some excellent points about our justice system.

    - Grace

  • The first half was excellent but towards the end I kind of lost interest I didnt know how it was going to end and I didnt really care. Still even with that it was a good movie. Gerarld Butler did a really good job.

  • nice hair Grace

  • WOw! that's awesome, Now i want to go see this movie, after the reviews!!

  • this is really good!!!!!!!!!!!

  • girl with the shades and hat is awesome. So Theatrical! :)

  • the reviews and new is fantastic and grace randolph is beautiful
