This is actually the best way to pop a pimple for people with skin prone to scarring. I'm on retin-a and my skin is super sensitive. I've tried to pop my pimples with just my fingers and it makes my skin worse. Bacteria is always present on your body no matter what you do. If I use paper towels over my fingers, applied pressure is distributed and my nails don't dig into my skin. Now I don't worry about scarring every time I pop a pimple. Some people are just lucky to "squeeze" and go.
