So awesome, the alpha with a duramax is the only way to go. The 6.5 is really slow and feels like a tank, you put a programmer on that alpha and it's a whole different beast!! Plus the mileage is alot better, and you can tow your boat or toy hauler 75-80 up hill. Do that in a land rover or Ferrari lol!!!

@dbr712 The Diesel Hummers get about 14-15mpg. The tires have their own inflation and deflation system inside for offroad convience. To answer your question...why would anyone want to spend 200k-500k for a Royals Royce? Why would anyone want to spend half a mill to over a mill for a Ferrari? Personally after im done with welding school i'll build my own vehicle and it'll be cheaper than the Hummer line but more duable, bullet proof and all around more badass than any vehicle on the road.

Think of the Hummer as the off-road exotic, master of any terrain situation. There isn't much terrain a Hummer can't cross.

H1 Alpha costs $120k, but can be out-performed off-road buy cheaper cars, like for instans a Range Rover, which is also a 100 times better car at everything else. If the Range Rover isn't good enough of an off-roader for you, how about a $40k Land Rover Defender, which will out-perform an H1 in any off-road situation.

I'll agree with you in one aspect, the Alpha's certainly did have a very steep price tag. As far as any cheaper car out performing a Ferrari, I'd have to disagree with that. There are many cars that can hold their own against Ferrari's, for a significantly less amount of money.
