@NuggetTellie YES. It's WAAAAAY easier to get his Crystal in easy mode. The battle is so much simpler. He won't rape the living shit out of you and I can 5 star easy mode without trying. I stagger him once on easy and get him down to 30% so he starts raging like a fiend. Then just unleash on him until he dies and don't stop. I got his crystal after like 4 HOURS of battling him and 3 and a half of those hours were on NORMAL mode...so yeah, do it on EASY, save yourself a headache.
@HaLiiBell The ratings you get after battles has nothing to do with the chances of you getting the crystals from any monsters. Supposedly, finishing a monster that you can capture with Feral Link will give you a better chance at capturing them.
I used Relentless Assault for damaging Omega when he was in Overheat. You can beplete about 20% of his health doing this. At the end when he ran around, I used Delta Attack with BunkerBeast as my monster Sentinel.
The list or Paradigms I used are:
Relentless Assault
Delta Attack
Protection (Noel as SYN)
Attrition. (Serah as SAB)
Tortoise
ALL Paradigms featured BunkerBeast as SEN (apart from Relentless Assault; I used Orion-COM).
I've gone up against Omega with Serah at 2500hp, and Noel is ~3000. I'm able to get omega down to 1/3hp without any trouble, but when he gets down to that health, he no longer overheats and i'm not able to go on a full offense.... think theres any way I can make it work? Or should I just come back when I'm a higher level.
@NinjainSpandex92 Advance to have Noel at 4141hp and Serah at 3076 hp. Then use the following deck:
Relentless Assault
Delta Attack
Protection (Noel as SYN)
Attrition. (Serah as SAB)
Tortoise
Use Delta Attack IMMEDIATELY after Omega finishes each charge move where he turns red. Keep dispelling buffs that is made with the accelerate move can help a lot too. Keep to defensive and healing paradigms when he attacks. Use Tortoise when he does turn red and charge. Takes off about 1000hp each time.
@ReeceDogg100 Yes, that is all well and nice, but when he hit 1/3 hp he stopped overloading, so i didnt have the liberty of getting out of a defensive paradigm.
@NinjainSpandex92 I know. The SECOND (split second) he finishes with his mad ruch, you go all out with RelentlessAsault. When he turns red again, hit tortoise. If you keep doing this, you should defeat him. What are the stats that you have for leveling up? eg. COM --/99 RAV --/99 etc. It helps if you have around 60 for about 2 or 3 and 30 for 2 others. These are averages.

@937olter because i watch his first attempt on omega and didn't know that you have to get 5 star to get omega weapon. so i just voice out saying like 'oh so that is how you get it. seems tough though.' and i happen to like a challenge.
What I didn't like about the first one was how all you had to do was change your paradigms and hit auto-battle to win, for the most part. It seems like that same problem still exist with just a few quick times events mixed in. I was hoping it would be more involving.
I also have a question for you and I really don't know if it has been answered before in one of your other videos but... Is the limit to your atb gauge 5 attack commands or can it go up to 6 for both characters?
@iPlatonic They're very easy if you do the sidequests and level up. By the time I got to the last boss I had 3 roles maxed out and at least level 50 for the rest.

@evolutionlancer4 what do you expect? it's meant to be. the battle is meant to be challenging but what's even more challenging is facing lightning in the next coliseum match in next year's dlc.

@937olter because i watch his first attempt on omega and didn't know that you have to get 5 star to get omega weapon. so i just voice out saying like 'oh so that is how you get it. seems tough though.' and i happen to like a challenge.

What I didn't like about the first one was how all you had to do was change your paradigms and hit auto-battle to win, for the most part. It seems like that same problem still exist with just a few quick times events mixed in. I was hoping it would be more involving.

I also have a question for you and I really don't know if it has been answered before in one of your other videos but... Is the limit to your atb gauge 5 attack commands or can it go up to 6 for both characters?

@iPlatonic They're very easy if you do the sidequests and level up. By the time I got to the last boss I had 3 roles maxed out and at least level 50 for the rest.
