  • At 1:23 "pydev.sourceforge. net" should be changed to "pydev. org"

  • Comment removed

  • title should be more specific

  • he... google Use Windows noobs...

  • This video needs to be updated! it's very old

First the app.yaml is replaced by app.yml

Second the default running port is 8080 not the default port 80

Anyway, I managed to get it working on ubuntu.

  • thanks for the video

  • Thanks for the video

  • PyDev's new repository for eclipse updates is at pydev dot org slash updates.

Use this in eclipse by going help > install new software

FFS Google! Let us post URLs in our comments! Jesus I can't even link to another video nowadays!

  • Okay, silly but unresolved: where is the google app engine lib for eclipse? I cannot find it anywhere!

  • can u make an iphone app with this

  • very good

however, presenter doesn't explain why he adds a new entry in the preferernces/python-interpreter section (at 2:00 in the video) when there already appears to be one. He doesn't remove the existing one, and the two entries appear identical otherwise (that is, without having done it myself and peformed a detailed comparison)

  • @walktothebeach because if you run it for the first time like me , it needs manuel configuration... there wasnt any existing one in my case

  • this is a very nice clear video... i don't suppose someone has seen the same for OSX / Mac ?

  • Mac computers aren't that great for coding things...

  • That's a silly useless comment.

  • You're replying to a 6 month year old comment, are you messed up or something?

  • It is still a silly useless comment even 10 years later; and FYI, my comment was not for you necessarily, but for people that might read your 6 month old silly useless comment, and get discouraged for no reason. Next time, be useful and support your comments with facts and tell us why you think what you think. Nobody is interested in how you feel or what mood you are in today...save that for facebook.

  • Hah, your like one of those messed up 40 year olds, that spend most of their time on youtube, trying to tell everyone that Mac is everything, and yes, comments are for how you feel about the video and what mood it put you in.

  • It's all the same for OS X.

    A Mac is just fine.

  • good work!

  • thanks!

  • cool helps alot

  • Not working through eclipse

    getting error: raise AppConfigNotFoundError

    google.appengine.tools.dev_appserver.AppConfigNotFoundError

However, it runs fine from the command prompt

  • make sure your app.yaml file is in the same directory as the python script. Normally this should be the 'src' directory.

    Hope that helps!

    sharat

  • It works perfect!

    Thanks.

  • Facebook test ? lol what was that project ?
