  • @Anggiclassicerz

I am new to learning Chinese and I thank you for pointing out my mistake. I did however figure out how it's really pronounced,

    DianSheng = Dee Ann Shung

QuanFengBi = Chew Ann Fung Bee

    BanFengBi = Bon Fung Bee

GuoJia = Goo Uh Gee Ah - Goo as in "puddle of Goo" and Gee as in "Gee isn't that nice".

Say these all fast and together as if one word.

Just type in whatever you want to pronounce at the website

    -standardmandarin-

So, I stand corrected. Thanks for the help.

  • I'm not sure but I think DianSheng might be pronounced Deon Shung, with the Dian pronouced like "Neon" and with the "u" sound in Sheng like in "hung". Similar to how Feng Shui is pronounced "Fung Shway".

Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I'm new to learning Chinese.

Love your vids guys. I've subscribed. Please make MANY more videos.

  • We are from Oklahoma, we need all the help we can get. Any bilingual viewers please, feel free to correct us at any time.

  • @HowtoCube You were right, it's Dian Sheng. (Dyan Sheng... Shing?)

  • @bbryant0620 no you dont pronounce it deon shung, you pronounce it "dee and shang",you pronounce feng shui "fang shoe e" , ive been in china

  • @bbryant0620 dian sheng pronunced "dee and shang" ive been in chinese,oh yeah i like the brand cube from chinese called yong jun, its cheaper than dian sheng but faster than dian sheng, doesnt need to lubricate, but the center kind of easy to plug off so i glued it ;D

  • are you able to get the center caps off of these? cause I just got my type d and I can't... Do you have any suggestions?

  • from the centers yes, i suggest using a blunt flat blade like a paint scraper or the unsharpened end of a hobby knife

  • do all dian shengs have those kinds of edges and corners with cut of plastic?

  • nope, I will be posting a .222 DS vid soon that will detail the differences

  • Guise how were you able to put Cubesmith stickers on the small faces of the type F? Also, you guys are great!

  • You can use a exacto knife or staple puller or anything with a thin edge and stick a corner of the sticker on that edge. The manipuate the sticker with the instrument so that the other corner is in the right position then with on finger holding the corner on the cube carefully pull away the instrument. Maybe I should make a video? Anyways what else works well is using the clear stickery sheets that come with many sticker sets and using them to pull up one sticker at a time and place it.

  • Type F I pops a lot :( mInes came in today and the yellow center piece pops out a lot

  • Some of our online research suggests that the Type F is widely cloned by different manufacturers. Certainly this seems plausible with the multitude of subtle differences between several claiming to be the same type. Not to mention the growing amount of cubes rooted in the F design (i.e. its pillowed shape). Ultimately the quality of the different incarnations my vary too much for the taste of some.

Don't give up on the type yet

  • Try pushing outwards from the inside of the edged on the center pieces so they get expanded just a little bit. It helps a little =)

  • @goobyjr9 where did u find it

  • can you give me a link to the type f cube you guys are talking about, cause there are a lot of different type f's on their website.

  • Type F 3x3x3 DIY Cube (I)

They have it in the box or out, but the blue out of the box are the ones that we've been most satisfied with. They are out of stock currently though.

  • You can try looking on Ebay. That's where I got my Type F I 3x3x3 Blue cube

  • is the type e better corner cutting than a store bought cube (target, rubik brand lol)

  • we scored them the same in our cornering test, but the rubik's is slightly better in forgiveness, meaning it's slightly less likely to bind. However the superior speed of the E makes it a better cube in our minds

  • thanks a bunch

  • When are u going to review the new type C-II,D-II,F-II from cube4you

  • soon

  • DAMN!!!

I bought a white type F a minute ago and then watched this. Now don't have money to buy blue

  • Hi guys I just purchased a type E and a type A III. The type E is pretty satisfying, but the type A pops ALOT. I mean ALOT. Whenever I try to do finger tricks it pops. So I've been looking for a new cube (black) and I need to know which one you recomend. Thanks!

  • Well I have to say that if you are going for resistance to pops Type C II or Type D are good choices but you lose some cutting abillity with the C. A good all around option is the Cube4you brand or Ming Ho cube

  • I Just Want To Make Sure Becuz When U Buy DIY Kits It'll Say The Type And Just So I Don't Buy The Wrong 1 Is It Just Gonna Say Diansheng Cuz Whenever I Look For It That's What Pops Up??? So Does It Say Type E Or It's Just Called Diansheng???

  • Diansheng has two main types of cubes that both come with either a painted on scheme or stickers. IMO the .222 is superior but we reviewed the .333s in this video. .333's can be found at cube for you or on ebay, I've only found .222s at rubik'sfans on Ebay

  • what does "bind" mean?

  • hey guys i got a blue type F and ur right. its def awesome.

btw you can easily fix the caps popping off problem, and it doesn't include glue

anytime a cap pops off, just take some scotch tape and wrap one layer of scotch tape around the base of the cap. when you put it back it back in, the caps will therefore be a bit more snug, and they shouldn't pop off anymore. i've had mine for 3 weeks or so and it hasn't popped since. i guess if it keeps popping just put another layer of tape on.

  • whats the colour of the old type D core?

    Now type d sucks???

  • doesn't suck, it's just inconsistant. The old cores were black methinks. Now they are greyish. A popular modification for this type is to switch the core out with a TYPE A or C4Y core... the hardware is pesky though so this can be tricky

  • the problem is the screw not the core???

  • Depends, I suppose some could have screw issues, but the popular mod is to switch out the core.

  • oh ok thanks

  • great honah LOL thats funny

  • u look like the guy "memyselfandpi"the one on the right,

  • with the type f's if the blue is the best what it the second best and worst out of the colors

  • Hard to say but if we are considering those available for sale at cube4you black is the second best and pink is the worst.

  • whats the best type cube for speed and cutting corners

  • go to our website and check out the Cube Scorecards

  • you said there are only 4 coulours but they have greens because I ordered one might make a video on it

  • in your opinion whats your favourite type?

  • this is like asking what i your favorite song... but if you mean out of the box for JB it's type F and for Roc it's Cube4you

  • thanks for taking time to answer my questions, great videos! im gonna sub

  • Does the type c diy kit come with screws?

  • all DIY kit's I've ever bought have come with screws... but if you mean the ones in ourType C video, no you have to buy them separate from cube4you.

  • would you reccommend the type d cube, ive heard that they changed the screws?

  • haven't ordered one in a while, but it is on our list of reccomended cubes. and so far we don't have a reason to change it's rating, but as we say in the vid they can be pretty inconsistant from cube to cube

  • what you said at 2:57 about getting the gooey stuff off, use something called "Goo Gone" you can get it at walmart. JUst use a Q-tip or somthing put a little on and the goo dissapears.

  • Thanks, we actually made a video on sticker removal and we also found that Goo Gone is definitely the best for that!

  • do the edge caps on the C4U brand cubes fit on the edge pieces of the TYPE-F cube?

  • I don't think C4U has edge caps, that side is all one piece.

  • You should also try to put an E core and screw spring, with all type A cubies. It's a really good cube.

  • i've don this, and it's pretty money, but what you get in speed is almost lost in lockups, but considering for me lock ups are common with A anyway for the right cuber you are right it can be money it will likely be in our next hybrid video

  • I find that the type f core deteriorates quickly, but is good when replaced with an A core.

  • I will expierment with this, thanks.

  • Just like the first clip - loving this one as well. Voted 5 stars mate... great stuff!

  • i subed =) keep these reviews coming, really love them

  • would you still recommend buying a D?

  • Yes, I would still get one for my collection, but if you have limited money get a cube for you brand DIY first.
