i was only 4 when he died now im 24 my dad said queen was one of the best rock bands during the 70/80's. you dont die from aids itself its the infections or diseases.with aids. horrible disease your body just shuts down cant fight off illnesses. if you had a cold it could be fatal.

@jaggass Exactly.....having the AIDS virus deteriorates your immune system slowly as it is. What did it for Freddie so sudden was that he caught pnemonia. That, along with having AIDS was what actually killed him. Still very sad after all these years :-( I was only 6 when he passed away, wish I could have been born earlier to see more good music the way it should be. Not this Miley Cyrus & Justin Bieber crap, lol

Because, you WILL die, no matter how great of a talent that you have, be it guitar or vocals. Did you even know that there's a whole music video for These Are the Days of Our Lives has been published since 1991? It obviously shows him 5 months before he died.

Regardless, you should do with your life as you please, as long as it makes you happy, others happy and hurts no-one. Fred loved someone, and wanted to love that person in return, did he get sick from it? Yes. Do you think he regrets? I doubt it. It's what you do in life that counts, Fred here, is the perfect example :).
