No not really, you can just increase your alignment by either performing vortexes (Special combinations) Buying Magic from temples, completing events, or fighting in various regions of Mardias.
BTW: Blessing of Death (Death's Benediction) Does not Work on Undead, and only works 80% of the time.

There are 10 know Deities of Mardias (Each character starts off the game with specific Alignments):
Elore, Nisa, Mirsa, Amut, Eres, Yucomb, Cyril, Saruin, Death, Schirach
