We just had the suite for 5 nights. Personally we all enjoyed it, perhaps for different reasons. One daughter sleeps lightly the other 3 of us sleep through anythiing so If there was lots of noise we sure either did not hear it or it just did not bother us. The life boats were lower than the balcony so no obstruction there as we were high enough up to see anything over them, and only water would be below them. I was not happy in our suite last year, much better this year. More lke home
Carnival just called me an offered me one of these Owner's Suites for our cruise in April. We have the Grand Suite for 5 for $3600 and they wanted another $1750 on top of that. The extra space would be nice, but I don't want to see lifeboats everytime I go on the balcony and I don't want the extra noise. I'm glad you had the video on here because I now know I made a good decision by declining the offer.
They are using it as a selling point? Maybe I should get a discount on my next cruise. Just kidding, I didn't put this update for Carnival to make sells on but so others could make a more informed decision before spending the extra money. It was extremely loud at times. We had a two year old with us so the early morning setup wasn't the problem it was the late night deck parties that were too loud for us. It was a good "one time for the experience room" but I probably wouldn't do it again.
I just stayed in this room. They said it was family friendly, but it was the loudest most uncomfortable room for us. The upper deck running track and play area woke us up every night. Then in the morning the crew putting the deck chairs out woke us up. It was truly a disappointment for the entire family. The room was nice, but the location on the boat was not thought out well. They use your video as a selling point by the way.
We were in this very room back in May. We didn't have it, but one of the couples that we went with on a church couple's retreat got it, and we all met in there many times and had devotions, played games, etc. It was an awesome room!
It was $1400 on top of the cat 12 extended price. We booked really early and our original room was only $1500 for 3 people so we paid a total of $2900. We were on a 4 day cruise so it may be a little more if you are on the 5 day but $5200 would be too expensive for me.
They just called and offered me this room for and additional $2500 on top of the $2700 we have already paid for our grand suite... And you only paid $1400 for it??
