I heard the Turbo Lover remix that's on Judas Priest Live and Rare, its good so I ordered the album. But I can't find this song anywhere safe to download.
this is truley unbeleivable!!! ive just been given the link to this from a friend!!what a friend indeed sharing this little master piece!! i love it!!
While it's purely down to personal choice as to whether this genre was the best genre of music ever (I have other preferences personally, but I still love Judas Priest), heavy metal must have been just about the best music genre to be a musician in, because you could literally sing about anything you wanted, and it would still make a good heavy metal song.
"Blood Red Skies" is basically Judas Priest musically jacking off for eleven minutes about how awesome cyborgs are. SWEET :D
I would love to hear the story behind this picture. Rly interesting.... We can see the human version of the Painkiller, before he actually become Painkiller on Sad wings of destiny cover. Later we see the Painkiller already made of steel on Painkiller cover and than Angel of Retribution, but wait a second, this is from 1988!! :Z Strange...
As the sun goes down, I move around Keeping to the shadows Life, hangs by a thread And I`ve heard it said, that I`ll not see tomorrow If that`s my destiny, it`ll have to be So I`ll face the future Running out of time I`m on the line But I`ll go down fighting...... Not begging you I`m telling you You won`t break me You won`t make me You won`t take me, Under blood red skies!!!!!
This image is the Painkiller himself. Its interesting because the first time when u see the fallen angel whole from steel is 1990, Painkiller. This is back in the 1988 or it could be even 1987 when they have been recording the songs.
This is a good mix. For those that don't like it, there are plenty of links to the original. Don't waste time posting "I don't like it" -- just click your next link.
original definitely the best, but coming from a guy that has a priest symbol tattooed on his arm - me :) - this really isn't that bad, it's a cool concept. either fucking way, AWESOME FUCKING SONG, original or not
this doesnt sound right heavy drums with that Clean guitar ....Just all wrong...its weird. to me i dunno i like the shortened version more emotion in the song to me
hmmm interesting, i just noticed the beat of the song is the same rhythm as michael jackson they dont really care about us. which came first? in fact i hear other similirarities to for each song.
well,ha ha they both liked the same sex,but thats where ther similarity ends. ha ha imagine michael jackson a closet priest fan lol lol. come to think of it though michael went through a black outfit with chains and stuff phase in the 80s with the bad album. hmm
Was excited to hear mention of an extended version on the Quorum a few mins ago, came searching here.... very dissapointing. This isn't extended with anything new, just a remix which butchers the original masterpiece.
Thanks for posting. Now I know what it sounds like. :p
No, it's a very strange footage that only apeared on the scandinavian radio broadcast CD of Blood Red Skies, so I didn't do it. I downloaded from a Judas Priest's bootleg page. Sorry for my bad English.
ok but brtshsel this is just a bunch of stuff mixed together when it doesnt need to be and it doesnt sound right. like they always say the original is the best JUDAS FUCKIN PRIEST!! ALL THE WAY!!!!
I'm not going to troll, but I really dont like this remix. The only thing I hear is various parts of the song mixed in with other parts. I agree that all the parts of the song work together to make a song, but these parts are not complimentary and should not be mixed together. Even though they stay with the same time and key, the opening bars, synth-drum sequences, refrain, and solos do not blend together well; all they do here is loop over one another. It sounds unorganized and messy.
I didn't do it. It was a special track for the Scandinivian radio only of Blood Red Skies and it's very rare and very difficult to find it, like the Turbo (Hi-Octane Mix) song, that it was part of Parental Guidance Single (If I'm not wrong...). Sorry for my bad English ; )
Oh no I wasnt blasting you or anything. I was just saying I didnt like what was done to the song. I expressed my opinion of how this was done. No criticism was directed at you in any way. And your English is fine by the way, I know Americans who speak and write English very badly, and you don't have that problem.
@Painkiller669 Truly the Gods of metal and I like this version as most music today is 3to 5 minutes and the ones played on the radio are to commercial. If I like a tune it usually is over 7 minutes cause it shows the band can go beyond one hit wonders great tune man.One thing about Priest they really know how to blast the guitar and drums as for Halford his life is his life and his music is all his fans care about and most certainly dont wish any ill will towards him. This is why they remain.
I heard the Turbo Lover remix that's on Judas Priest Live and Rare, its good so I ordered the album. But I can't find this song anywhere safe to download.

Would like to have seen Priest redo some songs with Travis on drums instead of Holland. Holland hurt the band by simply doing standard drums.

yeah lack of double bass in metal can be irritating. I wish Iron Maiden would do the same, they only have face in the sand
