I'm amazed at Soviet wireless instrument technology! Not a single amp or cable to be seen. I wish there was a video somewhere of this band playing live because on record, they were brilliant, at least on Russian Pictures.

If a show was recorded for the Soviet TV, live playing was impossible. The audience should have got flawless sound, which is was out of question without phonograms. For the same reasons, most "live" pop concerts were playing phonograms. his practice still exist, so it is normal to see "live sound" written on concert posters to attract public.

The audience was instructed to keep silence. All these people are "special guests" - tickets for such important all-Union annual shows were not sold to ordinary public.
