  • am i the only one that hears a resemblance in this song with joe hisashi's song ever love? watch?v=Mf4zv1-QLyE

  • This song really makes you feel how tragic the whole "Larsa goes crazy over her son Aki and tries to kill her other son, Palm" thing is.

I miss the vocals that were in the background of Requiem of the Sky, the first game's TLB though.

  • If only women today could lose weight as quickly as Queen Larsa did when she turned into Spiritual Larsa...

  • @asamstr So true... She's so beautifull like that. :3

  • What blew my mind more than watching this boss itself was seeing that there was a cut scene after it! THIS GAME HAS A STORY???????

Dude, eff this, I give up trying to figure this insanity out...

  • I was wondering is our sky is our fantasy.

  • I'm wondering is the sky is our fantasy world.

  • wish this is one is longer...

  • a safespot was recently discovered in spiritual larsa's final pattern

now the no miss/no bomb clear on god mode isn't a dream anymore

  • Oh...that's a poster of the TLB, Spiritual Larsa, correct? Because I can tell that the logo says "BLACK LABEL" because it's painfully obvious, being surrounded by a black strip.

  • I have been searching for this...This is so insanely gorgeous that it gave me chills in combination with the amazing gameplay itself. I can't imagine a more perfect theme for this part. It's so extreme that it reminds of those ridiculously beautiful plants that you want to touch, but can't because it's EXTREMELY poisonous or something.

  • @LadyLunaLucid - There's actually a tip to Spiritual Larsa, if you didn't know - once you get to her second phase, go in between one of the ball things that shoots out the bullets and keep following it through until Larsa's done for. I just saw it in another video (and is what led me here).

  • @FieraDevilWings Yeah, I'm familiar with her patterns, which is why the songs for this stage are so perfect. I pay more attention to the position of the hitbox more than anything; avoiding the bullets comes second, to me. If you have an affinity for noting microscopic detail, then you may find this boss to be not as insane as it is made out to be.

  • @LadyLunaLucid - Especially since it's not as hard as the TLB of Ultra in previous versions before Black Label. However, this is what Spiritual Larsa was designed for - distraction. The trick they pull is to try to make you concentrate on your hitbox or distract you by the scenery and due to the patterns, you assume that it'll keep on going like that specifically each time when you don't realise that Spiritual Larsa just fired a wave of bullets at you. And bam - the careless players are gone.

  • This boss is "pathetic", in the sense that it relies solely on intimidation to win, after all, when you see 90% of the screen covered with bullets your first reaction is "OMGWTFBBQBOMB". But once you shake off that feeling, the boss gets much easier. Rule number 1 of danmaku and maniac shooters: Do not get desperate.

As for the song it self:

"Epic" is not enough to describe it.

  • @fabiosacchirodrigues - Well, isn't the entire base around a Bullet Hell shooter intimidation? That's what makes players stuff up and accidentally miss and whatever.

  • @FieraDevilWings Not really, some patterns, ya, but some others they don't rely on intimidation, they rely on trapping you (*Glares at Emerald Megalith*) Or just plain confusing you (*Glares at Remilia's Thousand Needle Mountain*)

Or, maybe, just doing a "more than just hard and plain stupid" pattern. When I talk about "Queen Larsa" (Gigantic Ship-like larsa) she is just plain intimidation. But when I talk about "Spiritual larsa"(Human Larsa)...

Her last pattern is almost impossible to dodge.D:

  • @fabiosacchirodrigues - Actually, there's a trick to that last pattern for Spiritual Larsa and it's seen in the DVD of the superplay for it - go in between the lamps that appear and STAY in between for the entirety of the second phase! This will keep you moving, but it works! Of course, to enter in the first place make sure that the lamp things have assumed their positions and get in there. Therefore, you only have two obstacles to worry about - Spiritual Larsa herself and her lamps.

  • @fabiosacchirodrigues wow, I must say that rule is indeed true, not only applies to danmaku, but also for any other shooter. I´m recently playing Einhander but I died really soon because I was occupied on "cleaning" the screen of enemies, and, ¡¡¡BANG!!!, I got killed by a TINY MOTHERF****** BULLET!

  • @monsterhunter891 That reminds me of the times I was so busy streaming a pattern that I didn't notice a fairy coming right to me on the last stage of EoSD, instant-death.

I had 2 extra lives though. Enough to beat Remilia.

  • I now have chills.

  • Aha! I'd been trying to find a picture showing Larsa post-transformation! Gotta say, she looks a -lot- better than before. ^^;

Can't help but wonder about the story behind this part of the battle. She's evil, undoubtedly, but for one side of the story, her motivation was revenge for the death of Aki, wasn't it?

  • @Insho - Yes, you are correct! This is also why she faintly calls out his name at her death in Black Label.

  • This really makes my eyes wet, the opening sounds alone, and especially the part that starts around 0:25. Achincly beautiful

  • It's rly a nice and calm last boss theme.

This theme ectualy firsts this last boss a evil lady with magical powers and when you battle her the room is all nice...this music fits her sooooo good.

  • @supersaiyenpatrick - It's designed to be a bit distracting for the player, therefore they get a bit careless about their character and get hit by an unsuspecting bullet wave fired from Spiritual Larsa's wand thingo rather than the actual patterns.

  • great song, anyone know where I can download the ost

  • This is one of my favorite boss themes ever, even if it doesn't sound like a boss theme at all.

  • This is the best last boss song I've ever heard.

  • omigosh the beginning of this song alone almost cry!!!

  • This is so calming to listen to... when your not playing that hellish last boss.

  • @linkmasta777 - Yet, it's still beautiful with the many patterns.
