I wonder what Freddie would have thought about his legendary status since he died. He probably would say, did you expect anything less, dear? Died far too soon.
@bsgrdn What I meant was why didn't you film her speaking? From what Brian said, it sounds as if she just spoke, unless it was much early and you had just gotten there then. The wind sucks because it affected the sound. Stupid wind.
Beautiful and well spoken by Brian, as always. Freddie was very lucky to have men like Brian, Roger, and John as his colleagues and friends. Their never-ending love and respect for him is always felt.
Thank You for posting this. I also have been a big Queen fan since 1974 (age 13, first real record purchased, Sheer Heart Attack) Freddie was the Greatest Frontman/Singer to ever live. I only hope I can Travel to Feltham someday to visit the Memorial.
Thanks for your comments. After following the music of Queen since 1974 when I was 11, it was quite strange and an honour to be standing so close to Brian after all these years. He spent about 20 minutes signing autographs and chatting to the crowd after the ceromony, which was thoughtul of him.
Isn´t Brian the most humble and kind man one can think of ? Never acting as the star he in fact is himself and always giving Freddie cred for the life and work he persued. Thank you for uploading this rarity. Love from Sweden
Does anyone has a vIdeo from Freddie's mom speech pleaseee? I wuold die to see it,couldn t be there yesterday but i was there with my heart. Long live Freddie& Queen FOR EVER.
This is wonderful!! Your video made my day... I remember Freddies' existence everyday with happiness and joy! I love QUEEN and I'll do it forever... Cheers Brian, John and Roger. Queen Rocks!
i was going to go,,i know the lead singer of mercury the tribute band,,wife had an op on her yesterday,,so im the house wife this week,,did see queen in 86 though,,many thanks for posting,,much appreciated
I don't know where the tribute band were playing exactly, but the sound was being played over speakers in the square. They sounded excellent! I couldn't beleive it when the mayer said that the lead singer of the tribute band was the only person there that made him feel thin!!
Thanks for this; when I get my version edited I shall upload also, Brian is always so humble and was nice to also see Freddie's mother. It was a great day.
