The J5 were definitely the first, and best, of their kind. All amazing singers and dancers but WOW MICHAEL! I really hate to see their songs being covered when they were already as perfect as a song can get when Michael sang them. Brings back memories when I was a teenager. 39 yrs later and I've yet to see a singer/dancer/performer as young as he was there, that had his talent at a young age. All these dance and singing reality shows that have flooded the airwaves now aka Amercan Idol ect....ect.......and still no one can top MJ. Its too bad The Jacksons weren't just getting started in this era. Justin Beeber and all these wanna-bes would watch in "awe" and learn a few things from the best.

There will never be another child prodigy with as much soul and passion as Michael. Stevie Wonder is definitely an exception but, you could just feel every emotion ooze out of this young boy...and thats something that very few young artists manage to do. And it's definitely not something expected coming from a child -thats what makes him a GENIUS.

Todays generation is not accustomed to hearing live quality singing and music such as these extremely high quality songs by the Jacksons, Michael had the tremedous ability to sing crystal clear high notes since he was young and adapt his voice and songs to the changing times. I agree that without Joe the Jackson 5 and especially Michael would be nothing. Look at Tiger Woods, Venus and Serena Wiilliams, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, all of them had very strong black men as fathers.A lot of people knew that Michael had serious self esteem problems if Joe had not been there or his religion michael would have harmed himself years ago.
