  • @Brien182= You are just a tool of the revisionists retards. Quit drinking the Kool Aid you jackass.

  • And yet he can say this:

Back in World War II, we viewed the Japanese as yellow, slant-eyed dogs that believed in different gods. They were out to kill us because our way of living was different. We, in turn, wanted to annihilate them because they were different. Does that sound familiar, by any chance, to whats going on today?

Tom Hanks, I hope you were misquoted or quoted out of context, because it would be morally unforgiveable for you utter such nonsense.

  • @braininahat Race had a shockingly huge amount to do with WW2. At the time, America was one of the most racist countries in the world. We slaughtered an immense population of people in the Philippines for no valid reason. Internally, there were camps were WE sent Asians. We don't want to see it or hear it but we were among the worst when it came to race. back then, we absolutely HATED anyone who wasn't white. You can hear that from anyone who was alive back then.

  • @Brien182 You're making shit up, plain and simple. Race had a SHOCKINGLY HUGE amount? That's ridiculous English, and adding both "shockingly" and "huge" is what tells everybody that you're not objective but a biased liberal dipshit. We ABSOLUTELY HATED anyone who wasn't white? Again, asinine and fiction.

Do the words "The Attack on Pearl Harbor" mean anything to you? The Japanese were brutalizing Asia before we got in the war, so don't tell me we lacked reasons other than racial hatred.

  • @braininahat It's part of my religion not to view anything with biased motives. I said race had a huge amount, not "The war was completely race related". As for the fact america was one of the most racist countries at the time? it is definitely true if you look at our treatment towards asian, african, and german americans at the time. The japanese saw themselves as a superior race, and so did we although we never took any steps of imperialism or anything else.

  • @Brien182 You're trying hard to paint America as a standout racist nation. "One of the most racist"? This is a vacuous qualification. In America, we abolished slavery faster than any nation to practice once practice it. Did you know that?

You, like Tom Hanks, are confused about reasons for going to war and the racial attitudes during the war. If only your religion taught logical thinking.

  • @braininahat Actualy, england and all of its colonies abolished slavery before we did, and when we did there was still a lot of mistreatment (up to the 50's and 60's( and even the civil war, not to mention the Crow laws, ect.. In WW2 we even were among the ones to make propaganda stating the japanese were "animals" and "un-human". - that came from the gov. itself. We did go to war with good reasons, but we were indeed very, very racist. P.S - my religion is 100% logical thinking.

  • @Brien182 Yes, but I said we abolished our slavery faster than any nation in world history to abolish their slavery -- meaning that we had slavery in America for less time than any other nation in world history. Yet where are the kudos for that, sir? No. America is one of the most morally upright nations in world history. Rid yourself of your guilt. But, more importantly, spare us your mischaracterization of the greatest nation on this earth.

  • @braininahat technically no. First, america isn't that old at all. Second, America was built and originally started out with slaves. so at the time slavery was abolished, we had had slaves the entire time, and even then we still weren't the first ones to abolish it. Although I respect you're opinions, they are very biased. None of us should rid ourselves of guilt because it reminds us of our errors. According to doctrine, once we acknowledge our error, we know not to repeat it.

  • @Brien182 The point is that many, many nations throughout world history have practiced slavery -- some still do -- and of all those nations, America has abolished (on its own, no less) slavery faster than any other nation in history. In less than 250 years, we abolished slavery. No other nation can make that claim. My opinions are facts. Your misrepresentations are an painful effort to paint America in a bad light.

  • @braininahat It doesn't matter because America had had slavery since the beginning of the country. You are thinking that America had abolished it quicker than any other country, but in reality that makes absolutely no sense because America was a very young country, just getting started. Not to mention we were extremely imperialistic. In fact, having slavery in the first place is immoral, doesn't matter when we got rid of it.

  • @Brien182 Sorry, pal, America is great. Americans have more reason than any other peoples to be proud of their country. Of all the nations in the world who have had slavery, America had it for the shortest amount of time. Bad-mouth your own country all you want. You're free to do it. But know that people who know the facts laugh at you and your kind. You're all 'useful idiots', a term created by communists to describe liberals like you. It is the most apropos term ever invented.

  • @braininahat I never said i was against america. I love america because i do have more rights than i use to have. We had slavery the shortest time because, again, we were one of the youngest countries at the time, and we still are. Nationalism can only go so far. It is what started our own civil war and many other wars including the Austrians as an example. the facts are this country was built by slaves and god knows how many indians we slaughtered for land. It's brutal but it happened.

  • @braininahat I would also like to add the brutality in the Philippines. We not only killed them, but tortured as well. this was done for no particular reason and is just now being brought up. many books have been published by veterans describing our own brutality that the government has not mentioned. This was indeed a racial war, although we didn't go to war over superior racial mentalities, we sure did our share of horrific things

  • @Brien182 GO fuck yourself and your half baked unfactual comments.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron All of my "half baked 'nonfactual' comments" come straight from history classes and books. As for you-you are being very biased. Simply tell me the assessments in which you disagree and I will try my best to explain them.

  • Tom Hanks really understands what the veterans went through.

  • Tom Hanks is a wonderful person.

    We love him.

  • I saw this today! It is quite extraordinary!
