i attempted to do this because something was stuck inside the disc drive. i could not remove the 2 screws underneath the front of the wii. even with using a triwing screwdriver, they got stripped. damn

I just have to hop in and say that if you really want the best graphics available, most game selection, and easy of obtain free games, get a pc. If you want to have a new style of gaming, getting a wii. Otherwise, screw consoles. Just my 2cents, and I would recommend a wiikey.

i'm going to buy a ps3. I like the game style of the wii but a 721Mhz cpu doesn't really appeal to me. The xbox360 has good online play but i don't like to pay yearly ontop of the $30 a month for 1.5mbps dsl.

I personally like the ps3 because if I'm paying for something next generation, I want the best, but it all depends on what you are looking for. The way I see it is; the wii is for revolutionized game-play method, the xbox 360 is for multiplayer gaming and halo, and the ps3 is for the most realistic craphics to date (although the 360 comes close)

Please add to the list of reasons why you like/dislike each system. I want to hear you out

I like the Wii because, as you mentioned, the gameplay is very cool. Second is PS3 because the graphics are incredibly realistic, a friend has it and I played it, but it's almoste the same as PS2, the ony change is the graphics(and a bit of the control). That makes me think that the PS3 is just an update of the older console, and the only "next-gen" console is the Wii(Oh, and by the way: I'm not a console hater or a nintendo fanboy, so don't start flaming).

Both consoles are great, each having their advantages. I bet all the people who have a wii say it's better, and vice-versa.

On a less ranting note, i would recommend the chiip modchip as you can program the 20 or so not used i/o pins to do what you want, I'm using them to pulse the drive led atm. be creative :)
