1997 The year I went to my first Michigan game, and it was Colorado vs Michigan. I was only in middle school, never stopped loving them. GO BLUE BABY!!!!

uhh Qnz1kim: no way in hell revis gets dpoy over chuck: chuck not only had better stats like more tackles/sacks and stuff he was a better team player as well. Revis shut his ppl down many times but chuck shut down multiple people in many of his games. Also for someone his age to run corner like that is exceptional. Revis is great but chuck had him beat this year.

For those of us who can actually really remember that season and his whole career, Charles Woodson was one of the most dominant defensive players i have ever seen. He took half the field away. And most of his big plays came in the biggest games. I'm a Steeler fan but Charles Woodson is in my top 10 favorite athletes

I like Charles but no way he should have been the Defensive Player of the Year. Darrelle Revis is the best cona in the History of the NFL. No cona eva in they career shutdown receivers like he has in his 3 year career. It's all good tho cuz Revis is going for that ring. GO J.E.T.S !!!

For one, I have no idea what a 'cona' is...and two, Charles Woodson is the only defensive player to ever win a Heisman Trophy. That is a huge accomplishment! He beat out Peyton Manning for it, so you might want to check your spelling and your facts before you try to argue.

i have watched every game that michigan has played since 1993 give or take a few and the last few years have been pretty rough but in 1997 that was some of the best football i've seen a TEAM play ever. and to anyone who isn't educated on charles woodson, he was voted to the all-time team for college football so recognize.

Woodson deserved the heisman over Manning. Period. He led his team to a national championship. Manning didn't. Woodson dominated in every game. Manning didn't. End of story.
