  • Would liked to have since this one live.

  • Is Dewey Cox a real person or just a fiction? I'm confuse.

  • The Wrong Kid DIIIEEEED :))

  • he never once paid for drugs.....not once

  • I think its pretty cool he recorded the vocals and helped out writing some of the songs. It sucks he actually didn't completely write this stuff though he does an awesome job as a performer I wish I could've been there to see this. I LOVE that movie.

  • shit, he plays pretty good for not havin a sense of smell lol

  • That was a terrible terrible terrible, terrible that's amore

  • FYI-The commentary on this DVD-Walking Hard, John himself speaks & with the others tell everyone that they took pieces of all the music bio's of Cash, Orbson, etc...& put it in this movie. The drug thing in this movie was off of the 'Ray' movie. I detected Buddy Holly in the recording studio, they didn't like his wild sort of music. John's 'Amore' which is brilliant, the producer in the studio trashed. Buddy almost walked out of the studio because he wanted to produce & they did not want him to.

  • FYI - the characters/story/scenes/whole movie is not comparing or making fun of ANY musician. its a movie made to address that the stereotype of any musicians life is not nearly as ridiculous as anyone makes it out to be. the fact that "ray" and "walk the line" came out within a couple years of each other and how both movies pretty much tell the same story is why the crew thought it would be funny to make a movie with the same points but exaggerate them. and it worked.

  • FYI - the characters person may be derived from Johnny Cash/Ray Charles, but musically he's mostly based off Roy Orbison. Which is awesome.

  • wow it's actually john c riley. he's doing alot with that character beyond the movies.

i had no idea john could play the guiter i always assumed that in the movie it was someone elses recording

  • The movie was recorded by someone else, but Reilly is a good musician, although I didn't know he could play Guitar, but I did know he could sing, he's awesome.

  • That's not true whatsoever... hell, John even taught the rest of the kids in the talent show (the Dewey Cox Four) how to play their instruments.

  • look at the credits, someone else performs Dewey's songs

  • No John C. Riely sings all the songs, but he didnt write them.

If you look in the credits it says written by blah blah.

Performed by John C. Riley Aka Dragon

  • Albyiscool: If you are trying to chat with your momma, I think you got the wrong msn or icq adress.

  • sweet insult dude, i was quoting dewey cox, dumbshit

  • Dumbshit? lol. Like many here I thought this was some stupis ass insult to Reiley. Give my best to your mother.

  • sure thing champ, good luck with those your momma jokes

  • thanks ;-)

  • what a bunch of f****** babies :D

  • the movie is actually a combo of "walk the line" and "ray" all the drug scenes are based off ray, and dewey not being able to smell is like ray not being able to see. most of the other stuff is based off walk the line.

  • they take alot of crap out of alot of musicians and musical errors.

  • sounds way better accoustic then electified.

  • The Wrong Kid Died!

  • so talented.. even without a sense of smell haha love the movie

  • I loved the film. And Jenna Fischer, too, if I say so myself.

  • that guy in the middle of the shot in the crowd is a douchebag

  • FUCK YOU pussy

  • well shit he is, that gay little dance and shit

  • haha, you're right..

  • no there wasn't a real dewey cox, the thing at the end of the credits was a joke. I'm sure there at one point in time was someone named dewey cox, but no singer. It's a joke. Hate to break it to you.

If there were a real one, look at the song credits, if they were "Dewey Cox's" songs, they would be credited to them.

  • This guy could take the "Country Musik" scene by storm and shake it up the way my hero Waylon Jennings did as he is a great singer !!!!

  • Cox walks so hard.

  • i know right! so damn hard!

    Cox walks really, really hard!

    -HARD

  • He should play this song with Eddie Van Halen. EVH could add a badass solo towards the end.

  • JCR is tha' sheeeet. Thanks to Judd for turning me onto Danny Bern! "You awesome rocker!"

  • ALL HAIL MIKE HONCHO!

  • is that the real dewey cox or is it the actor who plays him in the walk hard movie?

  • hate to break it to you...there is no real dewey cox

  • The movie was not based on Walk the Line. You're a fucking retard.

  • if it were 'based on' walk the line it would be the same story as walk the line. It's parodying walk the line, its not based on it.

  • DUMB ASSSSSSSS

  • hahahahahaha

  • Join the Posse

  • he should change his name to dewey cox and start a new life as a musician.

  • kool

  • It's Doctor Steve Brule

  • For your health!

  • *looks at an orange* I-I don't know what this, how'd this get here. I didn't ask for this.

  • Another Brule Rule that you can't live without if you wanna stay in school!

  • good for john c riley

  • better than the generiric crap out there

    white strips good though

  • Isn't Jack White from the Raconteurs and the White Stripes?

  • yup

  • This guy could seriously start an actual music career.

  • did Jack White show up to this thing?

  • He walked out beside us when we left the movie. When we got to Mercy Lounge, Dewey or John said he was there and how much Jack and his sister scared the shit out of him. lol
