cada vez eu gosto mais dessas musicas quem embora tenham tanto tempo ainda consigam trazer mons sentimentos e sensaçoes.... porra esse cara se garante demais!
@xavierdlt Funny you mention that... according to an interview at the time, he rewrote it from the Genesis version (they sort of swapped songs between Face Value and Duke at the time) to sound more like a Jackson 5 song ;)
@BartAlbers That's Lee Sklar... the most in demand session Bass Man around... Just did the James Taylor tour this year and one month with Lyle Lovete and he is TIRED!
this gig has to be released on DVD surely! what a great performance from classy musicians lee sklar, darryl, chester and the former EW&F horns brilliant! phil is so talented, yet in the recent press he stated he would not release no more music because of the hostile press!hey fuck them! they cant play music so they just piss on it because they have no talent! phil should do as he pleases he has enough talent and money to not let assholes dictate his career choices!
I always enjoyed this version much better than the one he first came up with in Genesis. It's crazy that he got the idea for redoing the song the way it came out by speeding up the original in the studio during mixing and heard a horn section in the speedup. Phil Collins is definitely a musical genius! Thanks for posting this!

Epic performance. His best years. So many great Mainstream-Pop songs were created by Collins in that era. Miss that time so much.

Chester Thompson also does a great job with Phils fantastic drumming, not for beginners either...

And there's that all important Prophet 5 ... so much of Phil's sound was defined by that keyboard. (And much of Duke.)
