@VoodooPolitico Is not Oklahoma that protects Fugitive Recovery Agents, it's the United States, when a person is bailed out, they sign their rights over to our bonds man, then they give us the paper work if the defendant misses court and we go out and catch these people, the main job is to find fugitives that have escaped from the law. @VoodooPolitico thats where you are mistaken, the state can only tell you how to become a Fugetive Recovery Agent, in Texas for example only Private Investigators can be agents, in Colorado, you dont need anything, anyone can be an agent. Etc. However, when they are arresting someone the law states that they need to arrest them at any way possible. if this means breaking down a door to get to them, breaking windows down, etc it is their duty to do it even going against civilians words.

When a fugitive jumps bail, he has indeed forfeited any and all of his rights. A civilian may use any means necessary to bring such person into custody. I am an LEO and I know the laws. It does not give the bounty hunters power to beat everyone' s ass in the process. They tackle the wrong guy they are liable for arrest and a lawsuit. The job they have is not easy. Everyday bail jumpers are on the move and bounty hunters have to stay 1 step ahead, but they are not COPS.
