I just got this camera for my birthday

Its pretty good, and you can change the settings so the sound doesn't cut out when you zoom in, but then you get the zoo noise.

hey, how do you edit the vids for this camera? ive got this exact one (samsung nv100hd in the states known as the tl34hd) and ive tried all diferent editing programs for movies and it just wont work. please help. thanks

I've been using Power Director 7 or Adobe Premiere Pro. Either should work fine. What has been the problem?

ive been working on it and it just says something like unknown error hs occurd, its very frusterating, thanks il try one of those 2. i was using sony vegas pro 8,i really thought that should have worked.

I'm looking for an hd recorder that is nice and small and was thinking of getting the vado hd but this has camera and hd recording is this worth getting instead of the vado hd? The size is not really a factor just performance in recording. Thanks

Overall, from what I have heard, the Vado is probably the way to go, especially if you want a wide angle lens. If you want still shots, then this Samsung is very solid, but if all you care about is video, I don't think it's the all-round best.

Is it me or does the camera lose sound whenever you zoom? Does the flash work in recording mode? Thanks

Yes, the sound cut out when it zoomed. Not sure if that was intentional (so you don't get any zoom noise) or a design problem. There is no persistent flash mode.

I agree with your view, not perfect but considering the size and price of the camera I am more than happy with it. I've posted a couple of videos using it myself will keep adding more.

I dunno if my eyes aren't trained or anything but the video quality looks really good. How come reviewers complain about noise/poor HD quality?

well these conditions are pretty ideal and while it's OK, the HD isn't as good as that from some other cameras. It more then acceptable considering how small the TL34HD is, IMO

yea, check it out in HD. It's not perfect but it's pretty ok. especially considering how small it is.
