This is von Zamla with Eino Haapala on guitar, Michel Berckmanns on bassoon and oboe, Wolfgang Salomon of MUNJU on bass, Marten Tiselius on drums and percussion, Hans Loelv on keyboards and Lars Hollmer on keyboards and accordion. I saw them 1981 with MUNJU in Wuerzburg and it was so great.
The album "Zamlaranamma" was originally released in 1982. I purchased it at a concert of the group some time in the early 1980s at Bunker Ulmenwall in Bielefeld, Germany. This is a real WW II bunker, and Hollmer and his companians (I don't know if it really were Haapala, Brely and Garret during this concert) gave a great and earsplitting performance there, that deeply impressed me. I was a very young man then, but this music still moves me very much. Thank you for uploading!
Yow! Man, I'm so glad to see this posted. Samla/Zamla/Von Zamla ... and more specifically Lars Hollmer ... represented the pinnacle of RIO music (although that's not even an appropriate categorization). Outside of Sweden, they were relatively unknown so it's a true treat to see this. And if you liked the video, definitely check out their CD's ... start with Zamlaranamma ... all are excellent. Check out Looping Home Orchestra and Hollmer's solo projects. All are exceptional.
Wow... I don't know how I got here....just TubeSurfing I guess. This is some pretty trippy music. I don't think I have heard anything quite like it. I think I'll listen again.
Yup, it is "Harujänta" on the Album "Zamlaranamma" from 1982. When they produced this Album, they called themselves "vonZamla". On Bassoon/Oboe Denis Brely, Bass Jac Garret, Guitar Eino Haapala and Lars Hollmer on Piano/Keys. IMHO one of the best Albums by vonZamla/SamlasMammasManna...younameit :-)
Thanks for this! This is definately von Zamla, the group that was formed around keyboardist Lars Hollmer in the early 80's after Zamla Mammaz Manna was disbanded. Hollmer described the music as "bastardmusik" (in Swedish language)...an attempt to describe von Zamla's way to mix European folkmusic, serious music, rock, jazz etc.
Knasigt, men fan va bra! Crazy, but so bloody good.

I´ve just found that this video clip with Zamla is most popular in Morocco!! Fantastic!

I found this on the file-sharing network "eMule." Ditto for most of the other videos I have posted.
