  • This video made my heart smile.

  • Major Neil Young fan. Thanks for the invite. Hey, why no comments section on your channel? Great NY tribute page!

  • TACKS!

  • Damn! I was at that Filmore East show. Miles and Neil, what an odd double-bill it was!

  • Neil Young Crazy Horse & Miles Davis all in the one night at the Fillmore ... Good God what crazy times!!!

  • Memories.. Just back from Vietnam a few months before.. I was at one of the 2 concerts.. The best days of my life were back then.. Neil Young.. Fillmore East.. What could have been better? Great time.

  • @arusky2001 I was at a concert when he was with C.S.N&Y at the Fillmore a week or two after WOODSTOCK 1969 ,then Neal playing by himself or with crazy horse ,again at the Fillmore East 1970? .We would always send in for tickets way ahead and get real good seats, Great times like you said, bummer you were in Vietnam , what else can I say!

  • @TheGB1950 .. Well.. those were the days eh? Music will never be the same.. It was like a "renaissance" of rock n roll back then.. I just saw your page.. You are loaded with the best stuff!! My gf.. later to be my wife and I saw so many of the legends back then.. ty for adding me to your list..!

  • I just remembered one that you would appreciate.. after seeing Cat Stevens on your page.. I went to see Traffic (after Winwood's run with Blind Faith.. and who opened for him but Cat Stevens.. The crowd was real "rock n roll rowdy" so as Cat was playing "gently" (and beautifully, I might add) some in the crowd were shouting for Traffic to come on.. Within a few months Cat was playing MSG to sold out crowds.. Those who didnt listen that night missed something wonderful!

  • @arusky2001 I never saw Traffic or Cat Stevens but went often to Fillmore and other concert halls, I saw Frank Zappa and the Mothers in a real dive in Stratford Ct. they wandered around the crowed between sets, I suspect they had no where else to go, .I would have liked to have seen Cat Stevens back in the day!

  • Awesome- I was very fortunate to have been at this concert!!! It was incredible!!!

  • @badams006 I don't believe you

  • @flybreath I couldn't agree with you more. Last time I saw him was December 2007 in Philly at the Tower Theater. Jonathan Demme made a movie of that show called

"Trunk Show Movie". It only ran for a week (sadly) in town and made it's rounds in the country at theaters. But I'm sure it's available somewhere on DVD. What an awesome show. But seeing the movie put me right in the front row (instead of the 12th row at the concert).

All I can say is "WOW"!

  • You've all seen Neil's life.. Now how about Danny's.

    Go and enjoy!!!

  • Fillmore East - would have loved to be there! Miles Davis/ Neil Young/ Brian Auger_

    Incredible acts!!

To think I used to work about a block away

I think NYU and a bank have the storefront now; you'd never know what kind of

    history happened there

with some other incredible acts, to be sure

Great shots of Danny Whitten; he sang lead on some of those songs?

  • Incredible concert. Losing Whitten was a tragedy. They were meant to play together. Crazy Horse NEVER sounded better than at these shows-before, during, or anytime since...

  • @bendbadgersteve poncho pwns crazy horse was best in zuma-rust-re-ac-tor. bu these are good to=)

  • @dangerbirdzuma you LIKE reactor. I think Neil is the best songwriter ever but to be honest reactor sucks in my book- just an opinion. the 10-12 albums previous were unbelievable. to each his/her own

  • @louis34997 goddamnit there is more to the picture than meets the eye =) didnt like it at first (i didnt like neil at all) but it takes hours days n years to see new things evolve in his music. love crazy horse

  • @dangerbirdzuma Hey, i'll give it another try. Thanks

  • so i was only usin 1 amp!

  • flybreath - considering you are not a Neil Fan - you have captured the true essence of the Man - Like Johhny Cash he is a truly beautiful human being as well as a massive musical talent.

  • danny oh danny where have you gone !

  • Great album... guitar on Down by the River (Young and Whitten) is sublime.

Come on Baby Let's Go Downtown is great too.

This is my favourite Neil Young album.

    Just so cool.

Tonight's the Night is second fave.

    Peace.

  • Cowgirl in the sand --> best version

  • Makes me always do some head banging.

  • i hate u limunan

  • i hate to see idiots comments

  • so why don't you quit

  • Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Wonderin'

its tough to find this great song from this great concert so type that in to your youtube and enjoy

  • yes it is. Neil is as good electric as he is good acoustic.

  • Neil's piano songs are great too, but electric and acoustic are the best in most catalogues. Needle and the Damage Done is as good as Yesterday and Cowgirl in the Sand is like Revolution...timeless...

  • yeah piano songs are great. Cowgirl In The Sand sounds great acoustic too!

  • i love neil so much, but it's hard to watch someone talking about themselves.

  • Neil Young and Miles Davis...YEAH!!!!!!!!!

If I'd been more than eight years old at the time, I'd have been there!!

  • This albums fucking amazing. The cut of Down by the River is mindblowing, likewise Cowgirl in the Sand, just fucking jamming the shit out,so powerful and expressive, contrary to popular belief(A.K.A Some insignificants I know) Neil is not only an amazing songwriter but also a great lead guitarist. Seeing him in two weeks, can't fucking wait.....Neil=Genius

  • funkspiel, don't make this about miles, that's just stoopid. miles can't hold a candle to Neil. heh

  • funkspiel was only commenting how wild it was to see Miles on the same bill as Neil. This was during the time when Miles was moving towards the "Bitches Brew" sound and played venues like the Fillmore. I looked it up and Miles was actually THIRD on the blll that night. The middle act was The Steve Miller Band. Man, what you could see at the Fillmore back then!

  • Actually Steve Miller opened the whole show, Neil was the middle act, and Miles was the last act, it says in the news paper article found on the page of the album it also says that the audience for Miles just left the theater to the lobby because dissatisfaction of his band.

  • CCM Hockey. What a cool guy.

  • Miles opened for them. wow.

  • NEIL YOU ARE MY HERO!

  • @comandantaRAMONA That is your personal opininion about an anti-hero-kind-of-man.

  • @comandantaRAMONA Yesh!!

  • long live the Horse

  • RIP Danny Whitten -- he and Neil were a special, and far too short-lived, team.

  • great - and i was there that night - thank you for the clip!

  • Let me touch you 'cause you are a lucky one!!!! : )

  • God I'll bet he's amazing to watch in person. And so beautiful. O_o

  • weed

  • Thanks...nicely done
