Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.

@RAQAD It's ignorance based on fear and discrimination. Whether it be against LGBT persons, African Americans, Jews, etc., it's all the same. Sure, some of the actions committed might be different, but it all stems from hatred.

@ThePhantom135 no it doesn't. I don't hate gays but I am against the lifestyle. That has nothing to do with hate at all. I can talk to gay people no problem but I don't agree with the lifestyle and I believe it's wrong.

@RAQAD Oh, I wasn't referring to you specifically. But there is discrimination and hatred towards LGBT persons. Personally, I think that any cruel behavior exhibited towards a specific group of people is prejudice. Racism and homophobia are simply branches and therefore are the same.

I hear what Mr. Campolo is saying but many people will never believe gays are deservent of equal rights. In some circles we are seen as non- persons in much the same way black people where viewed by whites generations ago. These people, with their warped understanding of the bible, assume that being gay is simply lust gone mad or even demon possesion. That's why so many "Christians" lump the perversion of child rape together with (male) homosexuality. We have a long way to go.
