Original please read this! I want a board for freestyle, im stuck between the apex 34, 37, or 40. Im 5"9 and 145 pounds. 40 has kicktails but 34 and 37 are lighter. help?
Hey Original, I've reduced my speed wobbles a lot since I got one of your Apex 37s by getting used to your trucks, but there is still some left. Am I going to get more used to it and have them disappear, or do you think I would need to get stronger springs? I have the black springs, should I upgrade to red?
@THEkillerBman definitely upgrade your springs! The black springs are the lowest resistance, and best for carving, but not so great for hills or higher speeds. Bump up to the red springs and you'll notice a huge difference, but you'll still be able to carve. The white springs resemble a normal bushing truck if you're looking for an even stiffer feeling.
@CrazyCruising our Apex 34 only comes with a full black sheet of grip tape. You can request that we do not put the grip on the board so you can do so yourself. Some people like to take a sheet of grip and cut their own design into it. Or, you can purchase the board with no grip tape and buy grip somewhere else.
I am wondering, are the bear grizzly trucks good for freestyle with the purple orangatang 4presidents? i live in Florida so I don't plan on bombing any hills except for maybe some parking garages. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME! Thank you :). If you have any other suggestions, truck and wheel wise, please let me know!
@TheShaggyFilms Bear trucks are great for freestyle riding. The Otang 4pres wheels will fit, but they're a wider wheel so it's possible you may get minimal wheel bite
@TheShaggyFilms 70mm wheels that will fit nicely and not get wheel bite with bear trucks: otang stims, abec 11 flashbacks, abec 11 grippins, or you can go with 65mm otang fat frees. All of these choices are fine for freestyle riding.
@GoProShreadinIt we do't make the old Apex 37 any longer. However, if you were a fan of the all wood structure of that board, then you would enjoy the Apex 34 limited edition that we have out now. Same structure as the previous Apex 37 model, just 3 inches shorter.

@andrewmmmlong i don't recommend the Apex 34 for downhill, it's mostly for flatland riding and freestyle. If you're looking for downhill then check out our new Freeride boards. They come with either w concave or rocker concave and can handle high speeds and freeriding

@TheSourPumpkin what type of board do you have?I'm sure you'll be able to get back into the swing of things once you ride it a bit more. Longboards are meant for different types of riding, and your sounds like it's geared more for either down hill or freeriding. These boards are usually much stiffer and heavier, so it may be a bit hard to do freestyle on them.

@Originalskateboards I have a sector9 Fractal Complete. My local skate shop tried ripping me off, they said a board i wanted was $200 so i was like aright. when we got to the register the said $260! I just left an i bought the Fractal. I didn't realize it wasn't a good board until it was to late.

Dear Original, I am looking to buy one of your longboards for my first board but i have never long boarded before and i am a complete beginner. Along with that I live in NYC so i would need a board that could carve well and i am 130 pounds. I have no clue which one to get... please help

In my opinion, this isn't longboarding; this is trick skating. I have no problem with that, but when I click on an Original video I sort of expect something inspiring me to longboard, rather than the same old trick skating that I was trying to get away from, just without the kicktails. I guess you've gotta cover all the bases though...

No One's Probably Gonna Read This. But Im a 13 year old longboarder. I know theres millions of those but not 2 many with the will to be the very best. I am progressing fast.

@greenblur3 go for apex 37 apex 34 is not meant for free ride and if you want to do a mis then i would suggest 37. I love my 37 carbon for freeride and freestyle

im sorry but i have three more questions. Wheels. So if i get the Original S8 200mm Trucks. Will 70mm wheels work? And if so whats the difference between Orangatang 4President 83a (purple) and Orangatang in Heat 75mm 83a (purple) and Orangatang Stimulus 70mm 83a (purple). Which one is better. Whats is the Difference. Will all 3 wheels work on the S8? Now my other question question. I weigh 125, would i be in Flyweight for flex or middle weight? Now my last question, what is laser cut grip
