I watched this on sbs too. Its an interesting documentry. What I was dumbfounded by is how theres one part where pimping among men was common in these heavily supressed society and where men were forbidden from meeting females besides thier families to the point men were commonly found to have sexual relations among each other

I just watched this film - truly brilliant. Every American, British or Australian thinks everyone in Pakistan is full of religious extremists and fundamentalists. This film proved beyond a doubt that they are just like any other people in the world trying to make a decent life for themselves - but they have been destroyed by a VIRUS called the TALIBAN.

Gittoes is a truly fantastic filmmaker - as are all his companions in the documentary who helped make it happen. I salue all of their bravery.
