Cuz they say 380 atthe flywheel so about 65-75 hp loss to the wheels so somewhere in the low 300's but i have the 2011 V-Max with the 6.2l but not the 3.73:1
It has the 3.43:1 but i put a cold air and exhaust on mine and dyno read 372rwhp and 401lb-ft of torque so yeah theyre very capable engines
@DanceGarrett Yeah the 08 had the 6.0 liter. I think that the 6 speed transmissions help reduce some of the power loss to the wheels though. I have the 4L70 tranny.
these vortec max's have such great potential. GM just restricts them horribly through torque management etc to the point where they seem to perform worse than say, gm 5.3's even. Get a tune lifting these "e-nannies" and... you'll be witness to some modern day american muscle.
@Jsmitchell Thanks! Just intake and exhaust really. The intake is Vararam and it has JBA shorty headers with true dual exhaust with x pipe and 40" glass packs. I'll finally be moving out of California soon and can take the cats off and swap the shorty headers for long tubes. Of course, you need to custom tune it too.
Just go with the cam i got in mine . 287/.289 and .506/.509 112 lsa good for 405 rear wheel hp. I was going to stay torque stays about the same as what you have. 2800 convertor is not too bad.
@DerekD7777 The factory 367 hp was at the motor. When it was all stock it put 272 hp at the rear wheels. Now it puts a little over 340 to the wheels. That was quite an improvement IMO with just the bolt ons and tune.
Is the 08 the 6.0l?

On top of having all that power on tap, he's got an extended cab truck with the short wheelbase and short crew cab box!
I bet that some bitch get's up and goes!
