If i can test my skills against someone and lose just because they were better than me v.s. them usin some cheap move then that's fine with me. I can take a loss no problem and I will get better. @charbokalypse24 I have played every Tekken from the first game onwards, and own them all. But I agree. I wish they had the video clips and unlockables via the arcade mode like all the other ones. Instead of making the scrolling beat em up the main game. In past games, the scroller was like a minigame. I wish they had not had done that.

This is the worst tekken ever.and as a matter of fact the psp version of tekken 6 is actually better than the console versions for the simple fact that namco remove tekken force from it.
Where else you find a game where one character speaks Japenesse and another English at the same time yet they understand eachother....goddammit this game was so chessie and frustrating yet fun. (when you play against somebody who doesn't do a combo that makes you float in the air the whole round....)

@Xihdnar I may be wrong, because I didn't even play it. So I'm sure the gameplay still may be good as usual. The main problem I have are the uber-ridiculous characters. Most of them are demons, machines, aliens and other nonhuman species. The storylines are beyond ridiculous, they could've made an SciFi RPG of it. So let's just say it is the over the top style that almost makes me forget that it's supposed to be a fighting game. It's more the style less the gameplay that bothers me.
@CrotchBlaster Oh.. I see... Dude, believe me, the gameplay its awsome... The style, well... Maybe you are right, its a bit more "excessive" than the others... But are just the new characters... The original one can be customized in very strange and funny ways, but they are still the badass we know... About the storyline i can't express myself because i played only in multi.. But it's sure a good chapter of the Tekken franchise! ;)

Only problem with this version is it takes an age to frickin' load, on either 360 or PS3. I thought the point was 'pick up and play' not 'pick up and wait two minutes for the fight to start'. Absolute shite.

Tekken 3 is easily the best. With the newer ones I feel there is too much unbalance in the characters. Tekken 6 is basically Tekken 5 with better graphics. WHICH SUCKS! Because I played Tekken 5 to death, and I want something fresh.
@InsanePickle007 Didn't say it was bad. I just don't want to spend a deal of money, on a game that I pretty much already own. I actually played Tekken 6 at a friends place, and I felt like I was just playing Tekken 5. I rather just buy the new Mortal Kombat.
@TLCFan23 The gameplay for this is a mix between, actually. It's on a 3d playing field, though. The juggle combos are great as well as the special moves. It has it's own unique pace and style. If you like fighting games, this is one you don't wanna overlook.
Tekken 6 = 100-150 different combos for each character; more customization over the previous tekkens; more realistic fighting; a full fledged beat em up campaign
SF4 = make your own combos (aka repetition of the same 4-6 attacks); no customization; nothing realistic about it; no campaign
I do enjoy Tekken but to be honest I find it all a bit *floaty* sometimes.. Its VERY frustrating when you lose and you feel you are getting the inputs spot on, even with a good stick and lots of practise I still find myself wailing and nashing my teeth XD In Streetfighter IV, Blazblue etc. you die because you SUCK, not because of the games style or odd collision detection! Tekken still rocks though (Brian Fury is the don) - I think I am just sore, it has to be said Tekken is FULL of moves O_O

TTT seems nice but I don't think my Slim will play it since it's blue. And T4 has some shit quality narration, especially that you move before the guy says FIGHT

tekken is the best fighting game ever, but namco and capcom are greedy they are gonna make two games, a tekken x street fighter game that will be tekken based and a street fighter x tekken game, i don;t get how this will work, since street fighter is a magic based game and tekken is fighting based, i will not be buying tekken tage 2 or this street fighter mash up, i like my tekken pure

Tekken x street fighter is what the fans wanted and they both have different engiens to please both fans. no one is forcing you to pay for both. and why not buy TTT2? its the sequel to one of the best tekken games ever. oh and if you'r worried about projectile characters beating Tekken dont worry. there are non projectile characters in Street fighter also and they do fine.

@CrotchBlaster I've played this game just for 2 hours with a friend and i find it good... Why its trash? I play Tekken from "Tekken 2" and i found "Tekken 4" shitty in the first 20 mins of play, so i don't think to be a fanboy, but... I don't get your point... Can you explain why you don't like it?

@Xihdnar I may be wrong, because I didn't even play it. So I'm sure the gameplay still may be good as usual. The main problem I have are the uber-ridiculous characters. Most of them are demons, machines, aliens and other nonhuman species. The storylines are beyond ridiculous, they could've made an SciFi RPG of it. So let's just say it is the over the top style that almost makes me forget that it's supposed to be a fighting game. It's more the style less the gameplay that bothers me.

@CrotchBlaster Oh.. I see... Dude, believe me, the gameplay its awsome... The style, well... Maybe you are right, its a bit more "excessive" than the others... But are just the new characters... The original one can be customized in very strange and funny ways, but they are still the badass we know... About the storyline i can't express myself because i played only in multi.. But it's sure a good chapter of the Tekken franchise! ;)

Only problem with this version is it takes an age to frickin' load, on either 360 or PS3. I thought the point was 'pick up and play' not 'pick up and wait two minutes for the fight to start'. Absolute shite.

Tekken 3 is easily the best. With the newer ones I feel there is too much unbalance in the characters. Tekken 6 is basically Tekken 5 with better graphics. WHICH SUCKS! Because I played Tekken 5 to death, and I want something fresh.

@TLCFan23 The gameplay for this is a mix between, actually. It's on a 3d playing field, though. The juggle combos are great as well as the special moves. It has it's own unique pace and style. If you like fighting games, this is one you don't wanna overlook.

Tekken 6 = 100-150 different combos for each character; more customization over the previous tekkens; more realistic fighting; a full fledged beat em up campaign
SF4 = make your own combos (aka repetition of the same 4-6 attacks); no customization; nothing realistic about it; no campaign

I do enjoy Tekken but to be honest I find it all a bit *floaty* sometimes.. Its VERY frustrating when you lose and you feel you are getting the inputs spot on, even with a good stick and lots of practise I still find myself wailing and nashing my teeth XD In Streetfighter IV, Blazblue etc. you die because you SUCK, not because of the games style or odd collision detection! Tekken still rocks though (Brian Fury is the don) - I think I am just sore, it has to be said Tekken is FULL of moves O_O

TTT seems nice but I don't think my Slim will play it since it's blue. And T4 has some shit quality narration, especially that you move before the guy says FIGHT

tekken is the best fighting game ever, but namco and capcom are greedy they are gonna make two games, a tekken x street fighter game that will be tekken based and a street fighter x tekken game, i don;t get how this will work, since street fighter is a magic based game and tekken is fighting based, i will not be buying tekken tage 2 or this street fighter mash up, i like my tekken pure

Tekken x street fighter is what the fans wanted and they both have different engiens to please both fans. no one is forcing you to pay for both. and why not buy TTT2? its the sequel to one of the best tekken games ever. oh and if you'r worried about projectile characters beating Tekken dont worry. there are non projectile characters in Street fighter also and they do fine.
