Well Ive had both the first gen ipod and the first gen zune. I actually gave my ipod away after it fell apart a few times. I only ever have my zune freeze once, my ipod froze constently, had to send it back 2wice, and constently curse at it. my biggest things were: OS was boring and small font, screen scratched to hell, and the screen was so small I nearly went cross eyed(I actually did have my eye go lazy once from watching movies on a trip on the pod) over all I liked both, but zune FTW!

I bought an ipod, and was given a zune, and let me tell you, ipod is overall better. For 1, the battery life is so much longer on an ipod, like 5-6 more hours of music and 1-2 more hours of video than the zune. The ipod is something like an inch thinner, and the firmware is much more stable. The ipod never shuts down, hardly ever freezes, and has never lost any of my songs. The zune however, has. Now to software. Itunes has so many more songs, and tv shows and videos and rentals and gam
