It may sound midi-ish, but I'm sure playback on a real Welte piano would sound COMPLETELY different.... Welte rolls do not sound good as good as the originals when they are scanned, in my opinion.

Thanks for the rare recording. I liked the things he added in, and I imagined hearing Liszt.

Back row left to right: Moriz Rosenthal, Viktoria Drewing, Mele Paramanoff, Franz Liszt, Friedheim's mother, and Hugo Mansfeldt. Liszt's 73rd birthday party at Armbrust's Restaurant in Weimar. Liszt's birthday was on 22 October 1884. The bound scores are of Liszt's 'Dante' Symphony. All(except Mrs Friedheim and, of course, Liszt himself) were Liszt pupils.

I'm not sure who the man on the far left is, Rosenthal is seated upper left, below Rosenthal is Siloti holding the book, to the right of liszt is friedham and to his left is Sauer. I'm not sure about the rest.
