0:29 he grabs a second penny from under the table (almost shielding it with his right hand) then at 0:34 you can clearly see him pick up the first penny between his middle and index fingers.

My theory,

HE SPREADS his hand when he goes over the coin *grabbing the coin inside of his hand*

Second time he does it, you see that he makes a nice motion, with the hand UNDER the table, to emerge the coin thats hidden between his fingers *notice the rigid hand under the table*

Its a good trick, way better then the lapping method, takes more practice tho

I figured it out. Cannot do it without a frame around the glass. 2 moves under the glass that is pretty slick to get the coin underneath in position. But he cannot show his right hand empty afterwards. Good method! Havent seen this one... Should have sold this on on DVD.
