Go check out Teddy's credentials. That's what it looks like to be the best. You don't get calls to do American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, BET awards, Tonight Show, America's Got Talent, etc. if you aren't the best. EVERY drummer should look up to Teddy. If you don't - get you're ears checked because something is wrong.

This is hands down the best drumming ever , from the best DRUMMER EVER ! dont know what else to say. the thing that Makes Teddy so special to me is his Rock solid foundational type playing. Really solid and groovy playing from Teddy. I like those couple second mini-grooves, beacuse they sound so groovy and solid. Teddy is one of the best gospel and r&b drummers in the the world in my opinion.

One of the most profound things i have ever heard any drummer say is when Teddy mentioned that he never breaks sticks or crack cymbals, he simply chips them. Menaing it's not just the amazing time signatures and fills he plays but as equally important it 's his technique. Thats the true measure of a great player it's the degree of finesse and attack that you apply to the instrument to coax the sound out of your instrument.

The sound is directly from the internal mics on my HD camcorder when I shot this video. I was on the stage so the sound you hear is pretty much what the man, himself, sounds like. His "touch" on the kit is why he is the signature player than he is. Technique and that deep pocket groove is all him, not the P.A. or a mix off the board. JUST open-air ambient recording.

Pretty amazing, he is.
