@willkillforweed420 clip size vs. ROF is what he says. 20 bullets vs 900 rpm is not very good. I think they might be patching it where AS VAL gets extended mags. But still, this was beta.

HAHAHAHA "Useless" for mid- long range?? Oh man what an underestimation. You are't using it right if you can't kill things with it at mid range. I DOMINATE with this weapon at mid range. Single fire at mid range (at your discretion). Almost no recoil and you need 5 shots to kill. Easy for such a high fire rate gun with either a PKA-S or 3.4x sight.

you fucking idiots, this gun is accurate as hell up to 400 meters, they use the vss vintorez as a dmr its the same gun different stock. short burst and aiming high helps, this is a heavy subsonic round.

The AS VAL is very good in the final product, got it a few minutes ago, even though it has a permanently attached suppressor, it seems to do well in medium ranges. The quick rate of fire is also very good.

@MnMFourU Is there gonna be an extended mags patch coming up for the 360? I think the gun works beautifully as is, but I would maybe give ext mags a try. Dunno if its worth taking over a laser sight when you consider the guns strengths.

@420Rokn Sorry, it wasn't confirmed.. you can check it out at bf3blog.. they tell you all these patches and stuff but the extended mags was only a suggestion

@420Rokn - why a laser sight? unless you turn it on and off all the time its just going to get you spotted when you are too far away to do any damage. i get what your thinking but this guns already has close range advantage

The VSS and VAL are two different weapons. They share ~70% of their components but are still visually different, just like how one can tell the difference between an M16 and an M4A1.
