He is very precise when singing this, at least what comes to hitting the right notes and note durations. Sound is dark, and using this much of force is not usual when singin Mozart. I believe Mozart would have liked Villazon´s voice in this aria. Very nice singing!

Yo creo que es un poco inútil tratar de argumentar con usuarios como David45NV1, que recorren youtube buscando todos los videos de Villazón aparentemente sólo para criticarlo y muchas veces denostarlo. Hay otro usuario por ahí Liu666able (serán el mismo?), que hace algo parecido.

Percibo que son "wannabes", artistas frustrados que por alguna extraña razón sienten celos de Rolando y que de esta extraña manera tratan de atraer atención hacia sus "conocimientos" .

@moesq1, si, es inútil, es cierto. Es increíble como la gente dedica su tiempo a hacer largos e insistentes comentarios sobre cosas que no le gustan...con la cantidad de cosas interesantes y positivas de las que cada uno (según sus gustos) puede disfrutar.

@moesq1 Para tu conocimiento soy parte de una audiencia amante de la Opera que exige un nivel decoroso de sus intérpretes. y he sido uno de los que mas aplaudió a Villazón en La Traviata en Salzburgo y en su recital con Netrebko en el Hallenstadion de Zurich pero que a partir de su concierto de fin de Año en Baden-Baden vi con tristeza el comienzo de su declive. Aduladores sordos y fanáticos es lo mas nefasto que puede existir para un artista en la situación que se encuentra Villazón.

@moesq1 calidad vocal y artistica no se pueden argumentar con comentarios fanaticos en YT. O se tiene o no se tiene y punto. Estas discusiones serian innecesarias si Villazon ofreciera la calidad que tuvo hasta hace mas de media decada y se abstuviera de seguir VULGARIZANDO la Opera como lo hizo Domingo. Villazon mismo lo ha admitido en sus entrevistas donde ha dicho que el no se ve como un cantante ni como un tenor sino como un "Darsteller" y con ello estoy totalmente de acuerdo.

Great singing with good resonance. He sings this with grate precision. In these days for some reason Mozart arias are sung with much more narrow voice. Villazon´s version reminds me of old times when darker voices were used to perform these arias.

@teresa59 Through the whole Aria! Villazon, besides lack of Mozart culture, ignores the written dynamics or he is not able to reproduce it. He “sings”.the whole Aria in a monotonous mezzo-forte, no one hairpin is respected, no differentiation in his phrasing, just to give an example: "ll mio Tesoro intanto" he sings the same in both parts despite the score indicates "dolce ed espressivo" while the second one indicates "p dolce" (a Mozart singer should know the difference) and so on....

@David45NV1, "dolce ed expressivo" tiene muchas acepciones, y Rolando lo canta en una de ellas. Tu tienes unos esquemas muy rígidos, por lo que veo, y sólo existe para ti una sola manera de interpretarlo. Tú te lo pierdes...pero Mozart lo gana!

@teresa59 Mozart style is not a matter of arbitrary taste but a matter of accuracy. Mozart is very precise in everything including the dynamics. Unfortunatelly, Villazon is unable to follow them. Such flaws do not add anything to Mozart's value.

@David45NV1, a mi me parece que la arbitrariedad la practicas tú. Rolando Villazón canta a Mozart con mucho conocimiento de causa, no a la ligera. Es posible que lo haga diferente a algún patrón (que no deja de ser una convención de una época) pero Rolando tiene un respecto y un amor absolutos a la figura de Mozart, y su manera de cantarlo no es ni superficial ni banal, sino profunda y respetuosa. ¿Que no te gusta? está en tu derecho, faltaría más.

@teresa59 I disagree. Mozart style is strict and precise. It doesn’t allow deviations either in ton nor dynamics. I wonder why you try to talk for Villazon, he expresses his attitude to Mozart himself by ignoring what Mozart wrote (ref. hairpins). If Villazon would  love, respect and have deep knowledge about Mozart and his Work, he would not dare to deliver such result. Words alone don’t make of him a Mozart tenor. Your comment regarding Mozart style I better ignore.

@tchoupi58 , le Don Giovanni de Salzburg, cet été, a été enregistré pour faire un CD, mais je ne sais pas la date de misse en vente. Si tu lis le Blog Villazonista, trouveras cette information au moment où elle devient publique.
