I do know that if the Clovens from Resistance could use the Grey Tech technology they have acquired, they can destroy both the human race and the Chimera with ease. I'll assume that a battle between the Locust and Chimera will end in a draw?. Cloven will kill all!. Darth Vader will kill anything else left standing :D
Both games are great regardless. But like the previews commenter said, you can't really compare a third person shooter with a first person shooter. They're completely different formulas.

resistance 2 needs more maps, more game types, more weapons, more customizable options (weapon upgrades) etc. gears of war 2 needs more colour variety, maxmiun players online, a jump button (so you don't have to go behind something, then jump over it), stop the bloody lag and connection issues etc.
even with that said i think that resistance 2 has the better online, while gears 2 has the better campain.
i must add more i added my 1st comment before i watched it resistence is shocking wow u can have 60 people online but the gameplay and graphics are shockingly bad for a game out at this time i ave better graphics than that on my normal xbox

Hey the new moves the players can do? For 1 Gears 2 has horde mode which is 5 players taking on hundreds of locust all at once. It's hard to compare these two games because one is an FPS and the other is a TPS. I only have a PS3 and I only have Resistance FOM, but I think that I would like Gears as much as I like Resistance. Again, they really aren't comparable.
Resistance 2 is another level than R1 FoM play it the online gameplay is so Different and fluent no lags too but the campaign just feels like it improved but the Multiplayer is just amazing

both games are really good. both story lines end as a clifthangar so you know you can expest more from both games.. i played both and beat both however GoW2 is better.. its got great graphics, gore, details, and pretty good multyplayer the horde mode is addicting as anything. r2 has the 60 player online mode. but it gets king of boring after a wile.

resistance 2 needs more maps, more game types, more weapons, more customizable options (weapon upgrades) etc. gears of war 2 needs more colour variety, maxmiun players online, a jump button (so you don't have to go behind something, then jump over it), stop the bloody lag and connection issues etc.
even with that said i think that resistance 2 has the better online, while gears 2 has the better campain.

Hey the new moves the players can do? For 1 Gears 2 has horde mode which is 5 players taking on hundreds of locust all at once. Along with man more online modes like submission koth wingman and dlc that comes out every 3 months. You can say Resistance is better that is your opinion. Mine is Gears is better

It's hard to compare these two games because one is an FPS and the other is a TPS. I only have a PS3 and I only have Resistance FOM, but I think that I would like Gears as much as I like Resistance. Again, they really aren't comparable.

hmmm, resistance graphics are much better when is about lights and are more realistics, but gears graphics are shocking and very good, yet wehn we come to the multiplayer there is no comparision not even a match, resistance's multiplayer is a lot much better, campaign?, i think both campaigns are ok, but they aren't the best campaigns of the year by far, MGS4, Fallout 3, GTAIV, those are the best single player experiences this year by far.

both games are really good. both story lines end as a clifthangar so you know you can expest more from both games.. i played both and beat both however GoW2 is better.. its got great graphics, gore, details, and pretty good multyplayer the horde mode is addicting as anything. r2 has the 60 player online mode. but it gets king of boring after a wile.
