One night i was having a dream about having every car i like, and i was saying there names.. after the third car's name my heart started beating really fast and i was being chocked,this nightmare happened to me 4 times in a row,than i covered my neck with cloth,after awhile my brother came to me having nightmares playing video games and getting chocked after awhile, i was shocked... this is why i do believe in evil spirits and one of the small reasons made me believe in god.. believe it or not.

God is just some guy who bought Sim City and was bored. Some guy sitting at a giant computer is controlling you right now. @XQriousX Even if God did exist he is as likely to be a giant leprechaun dancing on a teapot as he is to be what the bible depicts him as. I find it hard to believe any religious person who follows the bible has ever considered the concept of God in a logical way, though a lot of them do not believe in science. God began as a way to explain what could not be explained and changed into something else, a way for people to believe as long as they do good in life they'll be fine.

But believing in religion these days is irrational, there are facts and evidence that backs up science whilst nothing backs up the bible, therefore there is no reason to believe in what the bible teaches other than because one wants to, hence why no rational argument will be able to sway the mind of a theist.

You don't get into Heaven just because you believe in God. You can't earn your way to heaven... Acts of kindness and love are nice but they don't grant you into Heaven. It's by God's grace. I have never heard the phrase suck god's dick or you will burn in hell so there goes that too. Also I'm sure that there are adults that have converted to christianity at some point in time. Finally if kids beleived everything then our yonger generation would all have multiple personnality syndrom.

@TheDNDGEEK but u get my point, hey i can debunk a lot of arguments from religion too. like i said the bible says you got to live the way god wants you too or you will go to hell, that sure scares the hell out of children, but religion promises salvation and freedom but how can you be free if you have to live the way god wants you too and while you have the DUTY to spread the word. now you said you dont have the desire to convert people but isnt that an offence to your god and your holy bible?

@troodon2 Okay listen atheists think people who practise biblical christianity are crazy. And they use the bible to disprove there beleifs. The problem is that even when they are not sure or do not know if the person is someone who takes the bible literally they still use arguments based on the bible. I do not take the bible seriously so stop refering to this book if you want to argue about christianity. Because you would be surprised on how many christians beleive in god and not the bible.

@TheDNDGEEK thats even worse! biblical christians read the bible everyday, instead of educating themselves by seeking the truth on their own they just stick to their holy book uneducated. now, you believe in god, the creator of the universe, the answer to everything... but u dont want to believe the bible, u were just born on this planet and somebody told u about some god and further education about life was not required because u believe god is the answer and he will take ur lazy ass to heaven.

@troodon2 So you start off with an inaccurate description of byblical christians saying that they read the bible everyday which cannot be true. Secondly you debunk your own argument saying that christians are uneducated but can read the bible. Thirdly god is not the answer to everything here I will give you an example: 2+2=4. See the answer is not god. Finally I was born on this planet with no knowledge of it whatsoever. Later was told about god and chose to beleive, like you chose not to.

@TheDNDGEEK i chose not to believe indeed, i chose to know! if i want to know how trees grow i search for the answer, i found out that the tree absorbs minerals, humus and moisture out of the ground to do so. then i found out that humus comes from biological life decomposing in the soil and so on and on...! all researched facts about everything together you get this huge network of pure truth on a universal scale, the only thing we havend found yet is... god. or it is there or its simply NOT!

@troodon2 Actually you don't know, no one on this planet knows! Oh and trees also require sunlight and oxygen to grow, not just dirt buddy. Also science is not "pure" truth, science is always changeing. When new data is found science changes. Now to finish off there are more than trillions of things that humans do not know, maybe unlimited. The creation of the universe is one of them. So actually you CHOOSE to BELEIVE there is no god. @TheDNDGEEK i know trees need more to grow, it was an example. there are indeed trillions of facts we dont know about and will never know, but we can try to find as much things as we can and observe it untill we know how it works. i do not believe there is no god, i know there is no god. my top 2 reasons why i know are:
1. god created the universe for his precious people but does not care about world hunger. "thank you for the useful emptiness of the universe though."
2. believing = unknowing.

i don't believe in most scriptures from the bible or any religion, but i still believe there is a GOD. For you to conclude that there is no GOD, means you know anything about the universe. If you could create the universe by yourself then i believe there is no GOD at all. IMHO.
