@BigBUCK0075051 The debt ceiling will be raised... They are just trying to make it so they have to balance the budget before that happens maybe by sticking that in with the raise in the debt ceiling.
I like Sen. Rand Paul, DeMint, and Lee's idea to balance the budget over 5 years, though they exclusively blame the President for the spending when really it is the President and Congress, and all the people who vote for politicians that will "save" the spending on their favorite programs. It makes me sick to think it won't get done if "the people" don't get behind the idea of balancing the budget. A few poison pills in the well by politicians running for office is enough to kill public support.
Thank you, Dr. Paul, for your honesty and and your courage. And yes, where is Pat Toomey? @UBSCARED It always tell me loads about a person when that person resorts to ad hominem attacks because a strong arguement stands on its own. Now, just about any effort to make substantial cuts will be difficult to achieve because even were such cuts to make it past congress, the president stands in the way. However, the effort will have to be made since the country is at stake or do you want to see the United States go down without a fight?!? Besides, the good guys often have been known to win.
Cut every single unconstitutional bureau, department, agency, commission, committee, program, board, etc. Anything that is not enumerated in the Constitution should be eliminated. Go to zero base budgeting. Make everyone every year justify their existence. Bring the military home from around the world and protect the homeland.
@JeffLDbqIA -- Help Rand Paul. Contact your Senator and ask them to Please vote yes for the Congressional Review Act, Sen. Paul has introduced S.J. Res. 27, a resolution of disapproval that would allow Congress to overturn the costly Air Transport Rule.
@zombiefitnezz Rand Paul and Ron Paul condone slavery. Prove it.
Paste in the link of words coming out of their mouths saying they condone slavery. If you hate them so much you should know it by heart by now or STFU.
You brainwash lying psyop sack of bull stinking crap.
@zombiefitnezz that depends on whether you're interpreting the Constitution from a Jeffersonian perspective or an inferior Hamiltonian perspective. Hamilton was a horse's ass.
I no longer invest any hope in those who've assumed the authority to determine for others how to live, how much theft is necessary for them to continue making those determinations, how to enforce layers of imposed debt upon us, claiming exemptions from their "laws," and impudently refusing critical analysis of their actions.
When the collapse comes they'll either attack us or ignore us - best to prepare to be self-sufficient than hope anything good will come from them.
@flowmaster45 how is it that he is a sellout? Cutting government spending makes him a sellout? If he proposed raising taxes and more spending, would you like him more?
@EddieSatan so far just a lot of talk and no action. Also when you hear Rand on tv repeating the republican party line, it's hard to believe he's the real deal.
@flowmaster45 You think that Senator Paul keeps the status quo??? Have you looked at what he has proposed? He is pushing the largest cuts ever by a member of congress--far more than either the president or the GOP leadership has proposed. Sell out? Are you paying attention to his plan compared to everyone else's? He's a great leader. We need more like him.
@flowmaster45 Then be fair. Look at what he has done. Senator Paul is'nt a dictator, but a legislator. All he can do is propose and present his arguements for the acceptance of his plan. What he propose to do is--by Washington standards, pretty bold--over 500 billion dollars in real cuts--which is'nt ,as he admits, nearly enough. It is,however,a good start and certainly more than anyone else has proposed. If you really think that his plan is business as usual, then you have'nt been paying attention.
@sleedolfine15 Ok lets be fair. Lets say that his proposal isn't just a stunt. He is one guy amoung 99 others that are sold out. Government is design to fail and be slow so the people who really control things have a chance to counter. Is that pessimistic? Yes, but not untrue.
@flowmaster45 A quick look at history reveals that the good guys often win. Were that not true slavery would still exist in western civilization, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would've been hanged following British victory in the American Revolution, last year the Nazi Party would've celebrated the 65th anniversary of it's subjugation of Europe, etc. And if you ever want evidence of what a smart, determined good guy can do,google the name Norman Borlaug. Goodness can be victorious.
These men have the answer to avoid the coming economic collapse.
half the Republicans want to do nothing, or make tiny cuts that would not stop the collapse, and the Democrats just want to step on the gas as we are going over the cliff. Paul and Demint in 2012!!!
I wish our country had more men of integrity, character and HONESTY. The people that post here or anywhere that refuse to see where their point of view is so backwards of what America was founded on and the principles. Take a look at how your socialist, progressive people act here in America even the brainwashed minds of our youth and young men and women compared to how the Japanese are conducting themselves in the serious state of their country. They still believe in Honor, Respect. Dignity.
@zombiefitnezz Another piss poor interpretation of someone's words. Neither of the Pauls condone any such vile thing as slavery. Yak was drawing a historical correlation between debt and servitude that debtors incur on those in debt. What are you trying to accomplish by attacking Rand and Ron, citizen-statesmen that are trying to restore the Republic from the mistakes it is making as an Empire? How does it profit you personally by launching these rude attacks that won't even reach many people?
@zombiefitnezz Wow, you and your alt accounts are pathetic. You'll use just about any piece of wikipedia info you can find or use any ad hominem just to win a pointless argument on YouTube that contributes nothing to this video. I never said the SC is violating the Constitution when it strikes down a law. Where in the hell did you get that from? You're drawing conclusions out of thin air just as recklessly as the Federal Reserve prints (counterfeits) money in similar fashion.
@zombiefitnezz The moment a bill that has provisions which violate or attempt to supersede the enumerated powers set forth in the Constitution is signed into federal law, it is unconstitutional from that very moment on. Judicial review is part of the appeals process which serves to act as a check on such violations that get overlooked by Congress.
Central Banking with Fiat Debt-Currency & Fractional Reserve Banking gave birth to the most evil political trends in the history via central economic planning despotism.
The Fed corrupts crony politicians with power to borrow, debase & spend to buy “support” from Special Interest Groups, Unions, “Too Big to Fail” Corporations, the Military-Industrial Complex & Wall Street.
Central Banking = Corrupt Political Cronyism
Watch: “Money As Debt Full HQ Video” here on YouTube
@deficithawker oh, hi. you must be UBSCARED's alt troll account. Same ego, same misinterpretation of the facts. Bush did order an invasion under the unconstitutional War Powers Act of 1973, and then got an unconstitutional permission slip AFTER the fact, but it was still no formal declaration of war. Clinton did the same thing in Yugoslavia, and the same crap went on going back to Truman taking us into Korea, but I don't expect a hillbilly neocon like yourself to understand any of that.
@UBSCARED Im not from the US so I'm not living in fear. Just an objective observer that sees that even if one of the Pauls became president, they may not be able to avoid an economic collapse and default.
Living in denial will probably not serve you well in the long run.
@UBSCARED Actually, the court is wrong on that. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution does say that the President is the Commander in Chief, but that does not give him the sole authority to deploy troops, he may only direct them. Article I, Section 8 says that only Congress has the power to declare war. This means that only Congress can legally give permission to start wars. Once that happens, then the President can command the troops. The authorization you mention was unconstitutional.
Ubscared.... clearly works for the establishment and is trying to discredit Rand Paul. Sorry Ubscared, quit trying to protect the very establishment that is ruining this nation.
Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Jim DeMint, and a couple of others are the only ones left in washington who are willing to look at the problems honesty and face them with real common sense solutions. they are heros in my opinion.
@UBSCARED Yes...yes he is. Two "wars" inherited from Bush that he could end right now with a few phone calls and the stroke of a pen (but won't), and a third when he enforces the UN's no-fly zone over Libya next week (which in itself is an act of war). There has not been a formal declaration of war on another nation by the United States since World War II. Next time, use Google before calling other people stupid. You only make yourself look like a moron that doesn't want or deserve respect.
@UBSCARED I am stupid because you don't agree with me? I will consider that a compliment coming from someone like you. You can disagree without being disagreeable, or is that a foreign concept to you?
Common sense is not common in Washington and in many state capitals. This approach is necessary to save us from future forced austerity plans like Greece and Ireland are suffering through.
The current government works for globalists who want a one world currency and one world government. We MUST take our country back from these control freak banking elite (the IMF and World Bank). Read - "None dare call it a conspiracy" ... WAKE UP PEOPLE. Ron and Rand Paul are CORRECT ... we have to reclaim our government.
Government, as of late) thinks he can create a utopia where no one has any complaints. That is not possible regardless of how bad the National Debt gets.
WOW!....this guy is brand new...and already has 3 other senators on his side for one of the biggest budget cuts in history. He has my vote. I seriously recommend looking at the bill...its pretty short ..and honestly most of the cuts are very manageable and reasonable.
@saltMagic He has the establishment on his side. Ron Paul votes to defund the power of government and he would not vote yes on this budge you seem to love. Cutting a little from what you ought not to do it is not the solution. Stop doing what you ought not do.
@Michaelbenoit7 "Rand Paul is already an insider" In two months?? Do you even follow Rand Paul or his dad?? "He is a controller not a liberator" WTF are you smoking on?? I hope your not free basing. That smoky white devil can't be trusted haha
@Michaelbenoit7 I love the fact that you got no clue about budgeting yet you allow your dumb mouth to run. It does take a retard to place him self in such position, I got to give you that much!
@Annuunnaki So I have no clue about budgeting? I love your debating skills. Go to my youtube channel. I have a lot of videos there telling you what I know.
@Annuunnaki So I have no clue about budgeting? I love your debating skills. Go to my youtube channel. I have a lot of videos there telling you what I know.
@UBSCARED LOL, so much incredulous hate from the Left and neocons like yourself. Very amusing! I suppose we had nothing to fear from the Soviets. Nope, they were our best friends, right? After all, they were communists, Leftists are socialists (basically the same thing), it's the sort of thing you love, foolishly thinking you are superior to your fellow man in spite of having no understanding of what the true aim of law and government is. btw, Obama is fighting UNDECLARED (unconstitutional) wars
@diurdi He doesn't care whether or not he fails? That's good because he's failing. What he is doing does not take balls. He can propose huge cuts and face no consequences for his proposals since they will be ignored. He's like a little puppy barking loudly. All bark and no bite. No balls either. He's a joke.
@worldnewsbbc1 impotent? your an idiot ..This guys brand new ..and is already getting senators on his side....not to mention a mass media tour. he hasn't even been there 2 months yet. I seriously think you need to research the meaning of impotent.
I disagree with Senator Lee's statement that we need presidential leadership on this. The budget is the congress's responsibility, and letting the president have any say in how much we spend is contrary to the constitution.
@deficithawker What are you, like 14? You have to resort to name-calling just to get your point across on the internet? lol, Rand isn't lying, and you're trolling without understanding a thing you're posting. As for nukes, the spending wasn't merely about stockpiling, it was also about advanced detection and defense (SDI, "star wars", etc.). There was also Grenada and the bombing on Libya (which we're about to do again under Obama).
@UBSCARED look we are a HUGE minority of the voting block. Whether you like it or not this is not a free republic anymore. He's proposing what he's proposing and he's still a racist and hate monger. Why don't you acknowledge the fact that we are living among millions of feeble retards and few of our voices of sanity will be squashed by their twilight zone agenda.
Seeing how the citizens of the United States didn't support TARP nor the other quantem easing programs. Because Congress never declared war in the middle east. I say those who did face charges of Treason while we try and figure out how to resolve this mess. First lets hear what's become of the money paid back already by TARP.
@deficithawker Also, there's no evidence you're factoring in inflation into your hoodwinked numbers. Provide proof of your adjustments for inflation between now and 1983 (including the affects of QE2 on the dollar), or say nothing at all.
@deficithawker lol, all you do is copy and paste numbers from an undisclosed gov't source, and I'm the dummy? Grow a brain. Numbers are only the beginning of the issue, not the end of it. In Reagan's time, he was spending heavy due to the Cold War with the Soviets (which was often warm). We faced the threat of nuclear cataclysm at the time, and thus the spending was often necessary; it was about defense. Bush and Obama's time is about undeclared "wars" of choice and maintaining an empire.
Mike Lee must have had to take a shxt. As you notice, the real patriot stayed up there to actually stand for something. Rand, you get better everyday and you speak the truth everyday AND more and more people take notice everyday. Thank you.
@Hylanvahr It appears, at least for now, that Rubio is indeed a traitor to the Tea Party. We'll have to confirm it with his Senator voting record. Time will tell...
@deficithawker Okay, so you want them to maintain the spending levels and raises taxes (and on whom?). Also, where do you get your numbers from? Please give a reliable source that isn't wikipedia.
@UBSCARED There's no waste of time in this. This is crucial work he's doing, and I dare you to do better. You're right about one thing though, he considers his $500 billion budget cut proposal as being not enough, or hardly anything at all. He wants to cut a lot more, but he's trying to compromise with a very unreasonable Congress that is about as ignorant of economics as most Americans are ignorant of what their government does to them on a daily basis.
Rand is not up for re-election in 2012, so he is better positioned to win. Obama ran only 2 years after winning senate too, so it's "been done". Whereas a Congressman has never won in over 150 years.
Rand Paul can devote 100% of his fundraising to his presidential race and has another 4 years as a senator even if he does fail. Ron has to run every 2 years for congress. Rand is much better at handling the media too, so he actually'd have a shot.
@Cyrus255 Obama actually ran for U., S. Senate in 2004. His Republican opponent was the inimitable Alan Keyes. That is also the year he gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention, which contributed to making him a nationally known figure. Kennedy also, I believe, was elected to the Senate four years before he was elected President. So if Rand were to run for Pres in 2012, I think it would be unprecedented.
@Cyrus255 It is not a good time for Rand to run for President. Far too soon, and I seriously doubt that is his ambition at this time. At least that is the impression I got after reading his new book.
@saltMagic I heard lee do an interview with Schiff on the Peter Schiff radio show. He sounded smart and legit. At least miles ahead of the "conservative" politicians that love war and big government
Just plain awesome. I love this guy. I love his Dad. Will Democrats and the Republican majority sniff the air and realize the political winds are shifting?
The Government has spending fever - they really just love spending other people's money.
They know the money train is heading off the cliff so they're ramping up spending and passing "laws" that they feel will allow them to keep their ill-gotten gains and stick us with the debt they've incurred when we're poor and suffering from lack of food, energy, and liberty.
I appreciate your efforts Rand, but I'm not hopeful - the Government is NOT on my side.
And then Obama did bomb Lybia !

Paste in the link of words coming out of their mouths saying they condone slavery. If you hate them so much you should know it by heart by now or STFU.

Rand Paul, what a sell out. Use your dad to get into office and then walk that republican to keep the status quo
flowmaster45 11 months ago
@flowmaster45 how is it that he is a sellout? Cutting government spending makes him a sellout? If he proposed raising taxes and more spending, would you like him more?
EddieSatan 11 months ago
@EddieSatan so far just a lot of talk and no action. Also when you hear Rand on tv repeating the republican party line, it's hard to believe he's the real deal.
flowmaster45 11 months ago
Like GW Bush didn't get in because of his dad? Like the Kennedy's didn't multiply from John F? Life is not fair.
johnnyViDeO 11 months ago
@johnnyViDeO i agree
flowmaster45 11 months ago
@flowmaster45 You think that Senator Paul keeps the status quo??? Have you looked at what he has proposed? He is pushing the largest cuts ever by a member of congress--far more than either the president or the GOP leadership has proposed. Sell out? Are you paying attention to his plan compared to everyone else's? He's a great leader. We need more like him.
sleedolfine15 11 months ago 3
@sleedolfine15 I only pay attention to what people do not what people say.
flowmaster45 11 months ago
@flowmaster45 Then be fair. Look at what he has done. Senator Paul is'nt a dictator, but a legislator. All he can do is propose and present his arguements for the acceptance of his plan. What he propose to do is--by Washington standards, pretty bold--over 500 billion dollars in real cuts--which is'nt ,as he admits, nearly enough. It is,however,a good start and certainly more than anyone else has proposed. If you really think that his plan is business as usual, then you have'nt been paying attention.
sleedolfine15 11 months ago
@sleedolfine15 Ok lets be fair. Lets say that his proposal isn't just a stunt. He is one guy amoung 99 others that are sold out. Government is design to fail and be slow so the people who really control things have a chance to counter. Is that pessimistic? Yes, but not untrue.
flowmaster45 11 months ago
@flowmaster45 A quick look at history reveals that the good guys often win. Were that not true slavery would still exist in western civilization, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would've been hanged following British victory in the American Revolution, last year the Nazi Party would've celebrated the 65th anniversary of it's subjugation of Europe, etc. And if you ever want evidence of what a smart, determined good guy can do,google the name Norman Borlaug. Goodness can be victorious.
sleedolfine15 11 months ago

Dignity.

1stzookid 11 months ago
@zombiefitnezz Another piss poor interpretation of someone's words. Neither of the Pauls condone any such vile thing as slavery. Yak was drawing a historical correlation between debt and servitude that debtors incur on those in debt. What are you trying to accomplish by attacking Rand and Ron, citizen-statesmen that are trying to restore the Republic from the mistakes it is making as an Empire? How does it profit you personally by launching these rude attacks that won't even reach many people?
Hylanvahr 11 months ago 2

Living in denial will probably not serve you well in the long run.
diurdi 11 months ago
Is it a good idea to have Jim DeMint in on this? He did cause the recession after all.
noncommittalcitizen 11 months ago
@UBSCARED Actually, the court is wrong on that. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution does say that the President is the Commander in Chief, but that does not give him the sole authority to deploy troops, he may only direct them. Article I, Section 8 says that only Congress has the power to declare war. This means that only Congress can legally give permission to start wars. Once that happens, then the President can command the troops. The authorization you mention was unconstitutional.

silverbull2011 11 months ago
@UBSCARED Yes...yes he is. Two "wars" inherited from Bush that he could end right now with a few phone calls and the stroke of a pen (but won't), and a third when he enforces the UN's no-fly zone over Libya next week (which in itself is an act of war). There has not been a formal declaration of war on another nation by the United States since World War II. Next time, use Google before calling other people stupid. You only make yourself look like a moron that doesn't want or deserve respect.

@deficithawker Also, there's no evidence you're factoring in inflation into your hoodwinked numbers. Provide proof of your adjustments for inflation between now and 1983 (including the affects of QE2 on the dollar), or say nothing at all.
Hylanvahr 11 months ago
@deficithawker lol, all you do is copy and paste numbers from an undisclosed gov't source, and I'm the dummy? Grow a brain. Numbers are only the beginning of the issue, not the end of it. In Reagan's time, he was spending heavy due to the Cold War with the Soviets (which was often warm). We faced the threat of nuclear cataclysm at the time, and thus the spending was often necessary; it was about defense. Bush and Obama's time is about undeclared "wars" of choice and maintaining an empire.

@UBSCARED There's no waste of time in this. This is crucial work he's doing, and I dare you to do better. You're right about one thing though, he considers his $500 billion budget cut proposal as being not enough, or hardly anything at all.
Cyrus255 11 months ago
@Cyrus255 Obama actually ran for U., S. Senate in 2004. His Republican opponent was the inimitable Alan Keyes. That is also the year he gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention, which contributed to making him a nationally known figure. Kennedy also, I believe, was elected to the Senate four years before he was elected President. So if Rand were to run for Pres in 2012, I think it would be unprecedented.
