i found out what he did in less then 2 minutes....

just top left 4 squares = 85 any numbers

then add 1 or 2 or ect to 2 of them

subtract from other 2

then turn those 4 clockwise

and theyre the number for top right

repeat for bottom left + bottom right useing top right numbers

havnt bother to try it but im problly exactly right.

smart kid though if he made that up himself.

Not so amazing once you know that this is a "magic square", Your square is of order N=4 but if it were worthy of the title "magic square" then at least it should have the following property: If you were to go clockwise around the square and choose the first squares away from the corners (11,12,4,3), they would add to 85. The same should hold if you were to go counterclockwise. oh well back to the black board...i mean whiteboard.
