For another, very brief, One Foot in the Grave-related example of Richard Wilson's comedy, see his appearance in Father Ted. For a demonstration of his dramatic capabilities, see the Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child" and, to a much lesser extent, "The Doctor Dances".
@bettypro I first came across Richard Wilson when he was in an ITV series called 'Only When I Laugh.' This is by far his best work though. Also watch out for him in the Mr. Bean at the dentist sketch. he was also excellent in the early episodes of a now largely forgotten comedy series called Hot Metal.
@Parrock1 He also appears in an episode of 'Some Mother Do 'Ave 'Em' with the superb Michael Crawford. Richard plays an Insurance man who visits the house. The house falls apart around him, and he can't stop laughing about it, but he tries to hide it!
@GTAIVFan17 I'm told that in England some people answer their phone with the last 4 digits of their phone number in case the other person has dialed wrong
i still cry meself laughing at this ahahha
