Trust, me there are several points of catholic doctrine with which I have strong disagreement, but I would have reservations about virtually all denominational traditions. As best I can tell, that is an example of iconography, which is a specialized form art that is supposed to remind people of people we would honor as leaders and pioneers of the church throughout its history. I have no problem being reminded that what I enjoy and benefit from in the church is in part due to the obedience and service of those who have gone before. I will certainly grant that there are those within those traditions that mistakenly "worship" the saints, and that would be wrong. TBC

Re the saints - my daughter-in-law left the Catholic Church. One of her problems with it was the saints - she was taught they were true saints, then some were unsainted by the Catholic Church. I think it's a problem when you pray to anyone but Jesus or His Father God.
