  • OMG, this is totally crazy! Pella is nothing like this today. But then again...it's still so nerdy. I guess because I LIVE here, but I'm not FROM here. I do love the Netherlands though. The people who fled here didn't like the Netherlands because the Netherlands didn't like them. It's so easy for people to feel that they're better than everybody else. As much as I claim to be nonjudgemental, I think I'm better than everybody too, ROFL! XX, I mean this in the nicest way, hehe!

  • lol haarlemermeer is close to where i live XD

  • lol the Netherlands is nothing like Pella Back then and today. We have manny imigrants and moost of us dont like echother. But still we try to make a good liveing for our selves. and just get along with our nabours. lol Holland is a rich and powerfull Nation that sets a rolemoddel in Europa and the rest of the World. And yah Ene you are a rolemoddel to for your fellow americans XD

  • Yeah,..it's Pella,..yay LOL

  • So funny when you live in Holland ( Europe ) and you watch this :P I think I'll visit Pella some time and I think that they'll accept me there because I'm Dutch :P

    Greets from Leiden South-Holland

  • my uncle works jaarsma bakery today and those letters are the bomb

  • nice vid, dont think a lot of people still speak dutch in Pella. Jammer..

  • Very few of us do. I stopped speaking it when my grandmother died. Probably can't get more than a few phrases out now.

  • real shame but well dutch people very easily integrated in other countrys so its no suprise. btw i read you were planning on visiting our country? did u already do that

  • No, I'm ashamed to say. My sister is living in London now so I've been busy with that. She and her husband did go to Venice tho last week and I'm a bit jealous, LOL. I still plan on going to the Nederlands tho.

  • Well, I'm glad you did. I've shared it with some others from here. I'm hoping to visit The Netherlands in the next year or so. Poke around where my family came from, so to speak. I'll be out of work by then so I'm hoping to spend some time there. Your vid is in my fav. list BTW.

    Dank u wel

  • That's easy, connect with ''genlias'' (.nl) and you will find all the Dutch family records dating from 1811; births untill 1902, marraiges untill 1932, and deaths untill 1952

If you need any help with that just give me the name of one your Dutch ancestors and the place where he or she was born. If so we will resume further contacts on inbox.

Zo de HEERE wil en wij leven.

  • Awesome! I live here and it was cool to see the town from when I was 10 years old again. What a flashback.
