John Reynolds was apparently a fairly depressive and anti-social guy, whose family relations had broken down. Hence, I don't think there's anything wrong with laughing at this.

@frederikolsen well, if we didn't laugh at it, that would be a real shame. At least he left a legacy, and one that people actually enjoy. I'm sure that the pain and drug addiction had something to do with the suicide though, along with those other factors. The guy was just all around in a bad way, and I thought it came through in this film somewhat. It's still a very silly movie however.

The prosthetic in Torgo's pants were apparently worn incorrectly, and John Reynolds (the actor who played Torgo) wound up addicted to pain killers to deal with the serious pain he had from wearing the prosthetic wrong. Several years after this film aired, he shot himself in the head. This movie literally killed him.

Apparently Torgo was supposed to be a Satyr, which is why he's wearing a rigging under his pants to make his legs look so bulbous. On top of making his movements slow and awkward and looking nothing at all like a satyr, he suffered permanent knee damage from it.

-EVERYONE's voice was dubbed in after shooting.

-John Reynolds committed suicide 6 month's after filming was done.
