I remember the first time I beat the game, I got the "bad" ending where Simon died, and I felt like crying partly due to the music. It sounds like a memorial theme that would play at a funeral of a great hero, so that everyone would remember his deeds.

@DBJ2007 It was released in Europe in the 1990's, it was released in 1987 on the Famicom Disk System on Japan (we got the 1st one in '87 in the US.)
