Can someone explain the hype of Touhou to me. I know the music is awesome but I never played it. just didn't have much interest. No Flaming Please.

@TheRonin7272 Everything that exists can be hyped. Touhou is no exception. But the secret to succes of every game is its gigantic fandom. I know a lot of games/anime etc. , but I've never seen a bigger fandom then that of Touhou. Just think about the massive amount of different fan creations it offers you: Every kind of music, so many game parodies, videos, fanfictions, images and and and. And that's why Touhou is so popular. Everyone can and will find something he likes.

I know what you mean about the youmu thing, although PCB wasn't my first I had only played EoSD and never really thought about playing another touhou. I played PCB next and it was fun and all but after fighting youmu thats when I really became a touhou fanatic.
